Hello My Lovelies!
Merry Christmas!
I Own Nothing Other Than This Little Plot
Christmas at the Burrow was always a joyous event. Everyone helped decorate the house and cook the dinner. Pots and pans flew everywhere. The smell of cakes and butter beer flew through the house. Presents were stacked all over the large table in the sitting room. Presents were always opened at dinner when all the family and friends had arrived. This year Hermione was staying at the Burrow for the Christmas period. She awoke early and went downstairs to help Molly cook. At lunch the house was host to two young men who hadn't been seen in a while. She sat on a work top whilst everyone swarmed around the boys. Shrieks of Fred and George could be heard all through the house. She watched with a smile on her face as Fred tried to escape the swarm of family and friends. Eventually everyone went back to work but the kitchen was empty as Molly had left Hermione to watch over it while she finished putting up decorations. Fred sauntered in whilst she was washing vegetables. He crept up behind her and skunked his arms around her waist pulling her round into his arms.
"Hello Mione." He smiled.
She laughed and kissed him "Hello."
He spun her around the kitchen as Christmas songs blasted through the house. They dance around for a long time singing, dancing and kissing.
"Merry Christmas." Fred said.
They jumped apart as Molly walked in complaining about George and his inability to hang things up straight. She looked puzzled to see Fred and Hermione together in a place where others could see. She noticed the blush on both of their cheeks. Everyone knew that they liked each other. Everyone kept quiet though as it wasn't like Fred or Hermione to show their true feelings. She chuckled and started ordering people about. Fred and Hermione didn't get another chance to speak until dinner. Molly sat them right beside each other. Fred held her hand under the table. He winked at her when she gave him a worried glance. The meal was wonderful and everyone got lot of presents. Fred stood up half way through desert.
He took a deep breath.
"Merry Christmas everyone. As you have all seen we have all gotten many amazing presents this year but I have one more to give." He turned to Hermione.
"Fred what..." She tried to speak but was lost for words.
He got down on one knee and pulled out a small black box. He opened it to reveal a beautiful silver ring with a huge diamond in the centre.
"Hermione Jean Granger will you do me the honour of marrying me?" He blushed.
"Oh Fred of course." She squealed as she threw her arms around him.
"I love you." He said.
"I love you too." She replied.
And that was the greatest and last Christmas they ever shared
