Mario Total Drama Superstars
Chapter 1
Blue Toad stood alone on a dock. "Hello everyone! It's been a while since we last saw you, but we're coming back at you for the third season of Mario Total Drama, celebrating one year since the very start! In this season, we will have challenges, both new and old! More on that later. Anyway, shall we introduce the contestants? We'll do backwards alphabetical again."
Zelda walked off of the boat and waved. "I've lost twice before, but third time's the charm, you know? I have a great feeling about this one!"
Blue Toad smiled. "Great to see you so confident! Next?"
Yoshi waved. "Hey. Good to be here again."
Blue Toad nodded. "How does it feel being back at the start after going so far last time?"
Yoshi sighed. "Well, it's not that hard to make it back there, so I guess it's fine."
Blue Toad was about to say something, but was interrupted.
Wario laughed. "It's my time!"
Waluigi scoffed. "No, it's mine!"
Blue Toad shook his head. "Wario and Waluigi. Safe to say you're feeling confident?"
They pointed at each other. "I'm going to go further than him!"
Treecko walked out. "Could the both of you shut up? I'm trying hard enough to concentrate without you getting yourself involved!"
Wario rolled his eyes. "Uh oh, he has an opinion!"
Treecko narrowed his eyes. "Right. As long as I'm not on a team with this waste of space again, I'll be fine."
Wario nodded. "Feeling is mutual."
Waluigi cheered. "You're agreeing on something!"
The pair glared at him.
Waluigi flinched. "Wow. I received warmer reception at the North Pole!"
Toadsworth ran over to them. "Now, if you're going to the North Pole, then you're going to need to be warm, otherwise you can get things like hypothermia or frostbite! THE HORRORS!"
Blue Toad cleared his throat. "Ahem. Now if I'll stop being interrupted, the next contestant is Toadette!"
Toadette smiled sweetly. "Hi everyone! I'm so sorry for how I acted last season. It was rather rude of me to argue with my own teammates."
Yoshi shook his head. "No. You only acted in self-defence. You had the entire team against you, besides Fawful, and did your best, so don't bring yourself down."
Sylveon walked over. "Or you could keep doing that." She sighed. "Although, I will admit that I did push you a bit too much, so I'll lay off a bit."
Toadette nodded. "Thank you for your kindness... I think."
Sakura peered around the door. "Uh... um..." She was pushed into the room by someone. "Hey!" She looked over the group and smiled gently. "H-Hello everyone... I hope that I'm not voted out early again..." She perked up. "Oh! Zelda! Hello."
Zelda smiled. "Hello Sakura. I do hope we're on the same team again. Perhaps Corrin will also join us?"
Blue Toad's eyes darted around. "Eep... I hope so too! Next up is Rosella!"
Rosella walked over to the group. "Greetings once again. This had better be worth my time."
Blue Toad frowned. "I'm sure it will... maybe. Next?"
Mudkip ran out. "Hello! I am language better! Sort of."
Sylveon sighed.
Treecko shrugged. "At least he's trying."
May ran over to Rosella. "Hey!"
Rosella smiled. "How's it going, my fellow Zero pal!"
May laughed. "Well, that team was a mess, but we still made it through. I hope we do well again!"
Rosella nodded. "Me too! High five!"
Mario and Luigi walked over together, laughing.
Luigi smiled. "You're right. I have nothing to worry about."
Mario nodded. "Yep. You may not have Daisy with you, but you're still great!"
Link looked very nervous as he walked over. "H-Hey. Please just vote me out early."
Zelda folded her arms. "Now, would you just listen to me?"
Link screamed. "Aaaaaaah!"
Zelda rolled her eyes. "Guess not."
Blue Toad smiled. "Now for everyone's favourite psychopath..."
Fawful ran over to the group. "I have greetings! Third time for Fawful!"
Toadette giggled. "Oh, Fawful."
Fawful laughed. "Toadette!"
Corrin ran over to them. "Surprise entrance! Also, sorry for shoving you out earlier Sakura."
Sakura sighed. "It's fine..."
Zelda smiled. "Now I'm fine with the cast."
Braixen walked out. "Hi everyone!" She smiled. "Hi Toadette!"
Toadette frowned. "And now I'm not..."
Rosella nodded. "Yeah, she kinda has an unhealthy obsession with Toadette and also just creeps on people."
Braixen frowned. "I don't mean to!"
Yoshi folded his arms. "But you do it all the time!"
Braixen shrugged. "Sorry?"
Blue Toad smiled. "Alright, alright. Two more people to introduce. First is Aqua."
Aqua walked over to them. "Hello."
Yoshi leaned towards Blue Toad. "H-Hey, are you sure she could be competing? Her state of mind is very fragile right now."
Blue Toad gave him a warm smile. "No need to worry. I'll put the two of you on the same team. I'm sure you know what to do."
Yoshi gave a fake smile. "Sure do!"
Abygail walked over to the rest of the cast. "Sorry, I didn't wait for you to call me, but I was just so hungry..." She got out a huge bag. "Oh wait, that's why I have this! Food galore! Hmm, but now I would like pizza. Hey, Blue Toad! What's the address for this place?"
Blue Toad winced. "You know that we're on an island. In the middle of nowhere. Right?"
Abygail shrugged. "So? We can get it delivered by plane!"
Another puppy walked out beside her. "Uh, I might be in the wrong place."
Blue Toad looked confused. "And who are you?"
Abygail smiled. "Why, it's only my brother, Casper!"
Casper barked. "Strangers!"
Abygail laughed. "Don't worry, you can trust them." She stopped. "Except maybe Zelda."
Blue Toad's phone started ringing. "Oh? I'd better take this."
Abygail yelled to the speaker. "Give us food!"
Zelda pointed to her food stash. "Like this isn't enough?"
Abygail laughed. "Oh, Zelda. There's never enough!"
Blue Toad put the phone down. "Okay, that was the producer. He says that my new co-host should be arriving any second now-"
A loud voice boomed through the island. "BWAAH! YAAH!"
Blue Toad looked confused. "Huh?"
A man wearing a cyan shirt jumped onto the dock. He had huge muscles, a grey headband and a glorious moustache.
Several of the contestants looked among each other in confusion.
Corrin cheered. "Oh! I know this guy! Sakura and I met him on our trip to that place. Uh, what was it called?"
Sakura shrugged. "Uh, I think it was Askr or something?"
Corrin thought about it. "Yeah, that sounds about right. I can't remember your name though."
He flexed. "My name is Bartre! Normally, I would just say I'm a buff guy, which is the best kind of guy, but I've been told to use my actual name while I'm here. Pleasure to meet ya!"
May shook his hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you too!"
Blue Toad looked around. "Is this the right guy?" He shook his head. "No time for that now. It's time for teams!"
Mario looked at Luigi. "Hopefully this time."
Blue Toad smiled. "Alright, so your teams are decided based off of your previous actions on the show. You will either be on the team of Stars, or the team of Ztars."
Zelda raised an eyebrow. "That's the best you could do?"
Blue Toad looked down. "Oh, well... if you don't like it, then I could change them."
Corrin stepped forward. "Oh, don't worry, they're fine names. Zelda just doesn't like anything related to this show anymore."
Zelda folded her arms. "I don't like being here. I'm only here because I like winning, plus my pals are around."
Blue Toad picked up a list. "Alright, so the first three stars are Corrin, Sakura and Abygail. You're all nice people."
Zelda gasped. "Wait, that's what the teams are based on? Well, sorry Corrin, but I'm not going to be on your team."
Blue Toad nodded sadly. "Sadly, you're right. You're on Ztars, along with Wario and Waluigi."
Wario laughed. "I'll be leading this team!"
Waluigi shoved him. "No, I will!" He turned to the camera. "Also, if you want to buy an official Ztars team flag, call the number on your screen. It's only 500 coins!"
Blue Toad looked confused. "Since when is he a salesman?"
Zelda sighed. "Can this get ANY worse?"
"Link, Fawful and Toadsworth are on Team Stars."
Zelda frowned. "Now I can't even talk things out with Link!"
Link sighed in relief. "I'm glad."
Fawful laughed. "Well, this is being a team filled with the most powerful of players! Fawful will be liking it here!"
Treecko crossed his fingers. "C'mon, please let me be on Stars..."
"On Ztars is Treecko, Rosella and Sylveon."
Treecko sighed. "Of course." He walked over to the purple mat. "Just want to let you know that I absolutely hate being on this team because of them."
Wario folded his arms. "I can agree to that. Why did you have to be on this team?"
Rosella sighed in exasperation. "No! There's no way that May is a villain, so we're separated! She's the only one here who understands me! I hate these teams!"
Zelda raised her fist. "Oh, you think you're the only one with that problem?"
Blue Toad looked at Bartre. "Could you?"
Bartre smiled. "Say no more! That look in your eyes... you're a fighter."
Blue Toad looked confused. "Uh... I was just going to ask you to stop the fight over there."
Bartre nodded. "On it!"
Rosella and Zelda kept arguing.
"I have it worse!"
"Stop talking down to me!"
"I'm going to be so lonely without May!"
"Oh, like my friends don't matter, she could still be put on this team!"
"Stop talking!"
"I know better than you!"
Bartre stood between the two. "Now, now. If you want to start a fight, you need to go in swinging! Bwaah! Yaah!" He punched Waluigi.
Waluigi fell over. "Ouch. Call now to buy some pain. I've got plenty..."
Treecko smiled. "I like this new co-host."
Blue Toad sighed. "Was that really necessary?"
Bartre shrugged. "So, not just go in swinging?"
Blue Toad shook his head. "Of course not!"
Bartre nodded. "Don't worry, I got you." He threw a dumbbell at Wario. "MUSCLE UP!"
Wario looked disgusted. "Exercise? Eww."
Blue Toad stood in. "Guys, I know that you're unsatisfied, but please. There will be opportunities for team swaps if you're deemed worthy to be a Star. Same goes for the other team."
Zelda smiled. "Now I'm interested."
Rosella flipped her hair. "As if! I'll be getting the team swap before you!"
Zelda cracked her knuckles. "You just love flipping your hair, don't you, Goldilocks?"
Rosella pulled Zelda's hair. "Shut up!"
Zelda winced, but then smiled tauntingly. "Now, now. That attitude won't get you put on the Stars team." She got slapped again. "Yeah, I suppose I deserved that one."
Blue Toad took out the list again. "Alright, teams! Braixen, Toadette and May!"
Rosella fell onto her knees. "Nooooooo-" She stopped. "Oh, are we not crying in defeat?" She stood up again. "Okay then."
Toadette frowned. "Oh..."
Braixen stood next to her. "Hey Toadette! Isn't it so great that we're on the same team again? I'm going to have so much fun here, and I'm going to make sure you have tons of fun too!"
Toadette put her head in her hands. "Why?"
Braixen smiled. "That's because I'm your number one fan! You've inspired me in my times of distress!"
Toadette frowned. "I was just asking it generally, but okay."
May frowned. "Oh, well I may not be on my good friend Rosella's team, but I can make new friends here I guess."
"On Ztars is Aqua, Yoshi and Mario!"
All three looked confused.
Blue Toad frowned. "We were using VERY loose terms for criteria to be on Ztars. Basically Yoshi and Aqua teamed up with both Loki and Zelda respectively in the past, while Mario kissed Rosella, causing Peach to go on a crazy rampage and nearly kill us all."
Mario's expression soured. "Kissing her to save her LIFE, but no-one ever questions that bit. In fact, Fawful poisoned her in the first place! Why is he on Stars?"
Yoshi smiled at him. "Come on, it's not that big of a deal. If you're that heroic, you'll be switching teams in no time!"
Mario shrugged. "I guess."
Aqua looked confused. "Uh, Yoshi? I'm not sure about what a 'Ztar' is."
Yoshi smiled. "It's basically a star, but purple and evil."
Aqua frowned. "Huh. That's less cool than what I was expecting."
Corrin gasped. "So that's what it is! Sorry, I didn't know."
Treecko rolled his eyes. "One could write a book on the things you don't know."
Corrin's eyes lit up. "Ooh! You think that could be a thing? I could sign it and everything!"
Waluigi cleared his throat. "Now, if you would like to pre-order the book of things Corrin doesn't know, just call the number on your screen. 350 coins for paperback, and 550 for hardback."
Corrin cheered. "Woohoo! I'm getting a book!"
Treecko sighed. "And that's the sound of my joke falling flat."
Mario looked over at the last two. "Wait, hold on. Who would be a Star out of those two. Mudkip or Luigi?"
Blue Toad winced. "Sorry, Luigi's on Stars, and Mudkip is on Ztars, so that he can be with Sylveon and Treecko."
Waluigi held out his phone. "Group picture!" He held up the picture. "Now, if you want this exclusive picture of the Ztars team before we inevitably fail horribly, it's only 800 coins!"
Bartre smiled. "Every army needs a commander! Choose your team leader!"
Team Ztars
Wario smiled. "Well, seeing as I heroically led the team last season-"
Treecko folded his arms. "Heroically leading us into losing five team members in a row."
Zelda scoffed. "Oh, please. Like any of you could run a team. I say that I'm the leader."
Mario smiled. "Well, I ran the Sweet Peaches in the first season."
Waluigi scoffed. "For an entire three episodes, if that."
Rosella smiled. "Well, I led Team Zero after he left, so I should lead!"
Yoshi looked confused. "Wasn't that only one episode? And I think you lost in said episode."
Rosella looked down. "You do have a point there."
Sylveon looked proud. "Now, see here. I was leading Team Fury in the second season after Toadette stepped down in episode nine, so clearly-"
Mudkip shook his head. "Disagreed! You bossy!"
Aqua looked down. "I mean, I could try being a leader?"
Wario looked at her. "Don't be silly, you don't have enough memory to lead this team of maniacs. You wouldn't even remember the time you shoved me down a flight of stairs!"
Yoshi looked offended. "Wario! That was uncalled for!"
Waluigi shrugged. "To be fair, I don't remember the time she shoved you down a flight of stairs."
Wario threw his arms up. "DODGEBALL!"
Zelda stood forward. "I will be team leader."
Several voices of disapproval arose.
Zelda turned around. "If you have any complaints, tell them to my fist!"
Most of them quieted down.
Rosella scoffed. "I still want to lead."
Zelda walked up close to Rosella. "Now. I'm going to say something, that you would do well to remember."
Rosella nodded. "Yes?"
Zelda held her hand in front of Rosella. "I have a hand, and you have a neck. Let us hope that the two never meet."
Rosella felt a chill. "V-Very well then. You get to be leader."
(Confessional)
Rosella- When she's staring into your eyes like that... she is terrifying!
Zelda- Intimidation. Easiest trick in the book.
Waluigi- So, here's the thing about my new teleshopping deal. Wario and I got into some trouble regarding Waluigi's Taco Stand and some uncooked meat, so if I want to keep the stand, I need to make some money.
Team Stars
Sakura smiled. "T-Toadette. You were leader last time, so would you like to do it again?"
Toadette flinched. "NEVER AGAIN!"
Braixen smiled. "Now, what are you screaming about? I'll help you with all your troubles."
Toadette sighed. "I'm on a team with maniacs!"
Corrin stood up proudly. "Well, if you all wouldn't mind, I'd like to try my hand at leading. I'm a natural leader who can get anyone to agree with my opinions."
May smiled. "Oh, that's fine." She sighed. "Golly, you're all so cool, I can't wait to be friends with all of you, it'll be so great and we'll-"
Link looked upset. "May, be quiet. You're not helping."
May looked down. "Okay..."
(Confessional)
May- Alright, I'm with people that I didn't talk to much, and I am totally losing my head! I feel so panicked!
Link- I don't mean to be rude to her, but I just have such a bad headache. It's like the universe is telling me that I'm making a mistake somewhere. Can't tell where though.
Abygail- Secretly, I wanted to be team captain, but oh well. There's always next time!
Blue Toad smiled. "So, the captain of Stars is Corrin, and the captain of Ztars is Zelda. This feels kind of symbolic, but oh well."
Bartre looked confused. "So, you're saying that some of the contestants aren't on the good team?"
Blue Toad looked around. "Well, not really."
Bartre frowned. "About how many?"
Blue Toad looked over at the teams. "Well, according to this, about half."
Bartre gasped. "HALF? Wait, half are good, or half aren't good?"
Blue Toad's eyes darted around. "Uh... both?"
Bartre looked shocked. "BOTH? Now, see here. I'm supposed to smite evildoers, so I'm not sure what to think about this."
Blue Toad shook his head. "Oh, no. They're just teams, none of them are actually evil."
Bartre sighed in relief. "Phew. That's a relief."
Blue Toad shrugged. "Well, after that awkward exchange, I think now is a good time to wrap it up. We have our two teams of ten, and soon they will start competing, so pick your favourite and hope that you won't get too disappointed when they lose, and we'll be back soon for more Mario Total Drama Superstars!"
Chapter 1 is done! The third chapter 1 of MTD! I hope you enjoyed it, please leave a review if you would like.
Can you believe it's been an entire year since I talked myself into uploading the first chapter of MTDI? It feels like just yesterday, but yet here we are, starting the third season. I decided that to celebrate the one year, I'd just use contestants that got . Bartre is a character from Fire Emblem, and him being the co-host is a joke made by Cat91 made real. It's been quite the ride, and I guess I don't know when it'll end. I guess I'll know when I've had enough. I have sworn an oath to never leave a season unfinished.
On another note, who's your favourite character? (Not just limited to this season) I'm really interested to know who you people, the readers like most.
Chapter 2 will be released with this, and you should expect chapters at some point on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I know, I actually have a schedule this time. Have a nice day!
(Now let's see how long it takes for me to go off-schedule.)
