The morning sunrise made its peak through the lightly covered windows in an apartment building. The warmth of rays hit the blonde's soft skin, gently nudging the girl to get up from her slumber. While rubbing her eyes, she stretched and yawned. Slipping from her sheets to the floor, she made her way to the bathroom.

She turned the faucets on to release the water to wash her face. Leaning in, the cool water brushed across her face. After her bathroom routine, she dressed in her usual outfit. Just then she heard light knocks on her door.

When she opened the door, a well-built figure greeted her, giving her a smile across her face. She recognized the pink locks on his head any day. He held out his hand and the blonde took it cheerfully. The warmth of his grip was natural, as if as they had always been connected even before they met.

A light tug from him and she knew to follow closely behind, down the stairs and out onto the open streets. Walking with him to another building that had large door at the entrance. Both of them at the same time entered the large build and were greeted by more figures. One with scarlet hair, another with raven hair, and one with royal blue locks.

The atmosphere was an ideal cheery world, with friends and laughter no one would resist this. But she always wondered.

Why could she recognize their emotions? Their voice? Their personality? How could she talk to them with ease?

Even though, they didn't have a face.

In a white room, there was a single bed and chair. Beside those two things was a machine connected to an arm that belonged to the person laying silently in the bed. The hand on that same arm was held by two more hands that belonged to the boy sitting on the chair.

It was quiet until another person walked in. He stood behind the boy in the chair as he reached and placed his hand on the boy's shoulder. He opened his mouth to hesitantly say the words that he knew were coming.

"She's not going to wake up again."

A/N This is just a one-shot story to make up on my absence for a while. Don't worry I'm still working on Fairy Tail's New Dragon, I just have a hard time on writing it out. Please let me know if you want more one-shots because they are interesting to write and let me know how this short did too.
