Of Love and Hate
Chapter One: Solitude
Pansy ducked into an alley beside The Three Broomsticks just as Hermione and Draco passed by. Hermione was talking animatedly whereas Draco listened, a bored look on his face.
"Are you listening to me?" Pansy heard Hermione ask Draco.
"Of course I am."
"As I was saying..." Hermione didn't get to finish her sentence as Draco immediately covered her lips with his own. He pulled back and smirked at the shocked Hermione. He walked on ahead. Hermione's shocked look turned to an angry one. She was yelling at Draco. She was scolding him about interrupting her. Draco drawled back, making her even angrier and then strode towards her and kissed her again, claiming she was too noisy. This time, Hermione sighed and slid her arms around his neck, deepening the kiss.
Pansy turned away, not being able to look anymore. Tears welled up in her toffee brown eyes and she let them stream down her eyes. She dropped down to her knees. It hurt her too much. She was the one he was supposed to be with. It's not fair, she thought.
"After all these years I've been with him, he never looked my way twice and fell for that slut instead. It's not fair. It's never fair." Pansy thought, rubbing away the tears from her eyes. She wasted too much tears on him already. She was not going to cry anymore.
Pansy sniffed and pulled her coat around her tighter. She felt very cold. Pansy struggled to stand up and stumbled slightly before regaining balance. Pansy reached into her purse and pulled out her small mirror and gazed at her reflection. Her eyes were a little wet but other than that she thought she looked fine. She dropped the mirror back into her purse and walked out of the alley.
She entered The Three Broomsticks and ordered a mug of butter beer before picking a booth by the window to sit. Her butter beer came soon and Pansy paid before taking a sip. It warmed her up to her fingertips and she smiled a little. She looked outside the window and hatred filled her eyes as she saw Draco and Hermione walking hand in hand to god-knows-where.
She wasn't happy at all. Pansy glared at her mug of butter beer, not drinking it before she thought of a way.
"If I can't attract Draco one bit, I guess I would just have to separate them myself." Pansy thought and smirked. She drank the remaining of her butter beer and left, plots filling her head.
xxxxx
Pansy smiled and mumbled softly to herself before sleep overtook her, "Tomorrow the plan starts."
A/N: Ok. End of Chapter 1. This is a short one I know but the next chapter would be worth it! I hope you enjoyed it. Until next time! Bye!
