This is a song I wrote after playing Dragon age 2.
Back then all my friends did not yet have finished the game, so I had noone to talk about.
so I wrote this song...
I played a female mage hawke, and this song ist adressed to her by Anders.
( I also recorded it, but beware of crappy soud quality .com/watch?v=SwtRjNtlx4k)
Disclaimer: Nothing is mine, only the choices I made. The rest belongs to Bioware.

I.
The chantry lies broken, the circle in ashes,
from vengeance and desperate it all was born,
to spoil the cage which holds captured our brethren.
If it's justice I'm not certain, but the unjust our kind suffer
day and night has to end and so it had to be done.
After all these years at your side reality seems like a dream.
Your judgment I will accept, my love, I'm no longer worth your grace.
Refrain:
So much has been changed when becoming a gray, and even more after vengeance was born
ever since I've been fighting for the freedom of mages, so that you, little hawk, can fly free.
And maybe someday someone like me will love someone like you,
and then there will be no templars to tear them apart.
One day it will end, but up to time nothing lasts.
Come and run with me, my sorceress, let us once more be free.
II.
After all my time with justice I'd never dreamed
to a meet courageous woman like you
another apostate, graceful and free,
Though I fear for your life I could no longer deny it,
that I love you, little hawk, for I am still a man.
I have nowhere to go and nowhere to stay, after what I've done
so let us run from here, my love, if you still can forgive me.
III.
It was just a swift glance, but there is still grace
in your eyes. Will you spare my life, in the end,
after all what I have done for the revelation of truth?
And this day shall be remembered as the very beginning
where mages started struggling for freedom and just.
May it be that our children will be born mages and free,
at last in a world where magic is no curse but a gift.
IV.
You spared my life after I long thought it lost,
we will be on the run but at least not alone
If this war can be won, I cannot say, though
I will strife to the end, whatever it may bring
the tide of oppression had blasted like stone
the world had to see, the world has to know and someday, little hawk,
whether in ten years or a century our Kind shall be free...
