-1Check 'Yes' Or 'No'
It was with great embarrassment that Cloud handed Vincent a folded piece of paper. The older man arched an eyebrow at him curiously, accepting the paper without question. Nervously, the blond looked up at Vincent, a tentative smile on his face.
"Y-you don't have to reply right away," Cloud just barely managed to stutter out. "Let me know later, ok?"
Eyebrow still arched, Vincent nodded.
Satisfied, Cloud turned and practically ran away.
He felt like a little kid passing notes like this…

Sitting on the roof of Tifa's bar, Vincent opened the note that Cloud had handed him earlier that day. Only by the trained eye could one notice how his red eyes had widened. After a moment, he picked up a discarded pencil Cid had dropped earlier from a moment of genius he had, drawing up plans for a new ship.
With a flick of his wrist, Vincent made his mark.

"Cloud."
Spinning around, Cloud blinked in surprise at Vincent. The man had practically invaded his personal space, so very unlike him. It wasn't like the older man at all.
"I believe you were wanting this," stated Vincent, handing over the piece of paper.
His hands shaking slightly, the blond accepted the paper, unfolding it carefully. When it was completely unfolded, he closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. Nerves calmed, Cloud opened his eyes again and looked down at the note he had given Vincent just that morning.
'Do you like me? Check yes or no.'
…the 'yes' was checked.
"Vincent…" Cloud asked hesitantly, his head lifting just enough to look up at the former Turk.
It was a surprise when warm flesh had gently grasped his face. Cloud hadn't noticed that Vincent wasn't wearing his glove or golden claw. Warm red eyes looked down into his own blue ones.
"You could have just asked me yourself, Cloud," Vincent gently admonished.
And then, Vincent kissed Cloud.
…Cloud decided reverting into a child just for a moment was alright if this was the end result.
