It was a cold day in the lovely town of Palmdale. All the cool kids wore sweaters and scarves, and converses and vans, all the fashionable warm clothing. Except her, she was wearing her worn out Avenged Sevenfold hoodie and long torn jeans; Blue flipflops and painted toe nails. She looked pretty today, so she thought. Smooth, straight black hair hung to her shoulders as hazel eyes scanned the horizon as the sun came up. It was early in the morning, while the world slept she chuckled to herself as she balanced and walked across the train tracks, she fell off once or twice but jumped back up without hesitation. Not a care in the world, she didn't have to fear anything but fear itself. Her painted red lips smiled softly as the rest of her body seemed to just dance across the tracks, her silent moments of joy were shattered by the sound of a loud whistle. Turning quickly without thinking and running, she barely by a foot missed getting crushed by a fast moving train on the tracks. She laid there on the ground watching it pass by, people in the train screamed and waved hoping she wasn't hurt. She didn't frown, nor did she cry, her breathing was normal, and nothing was porcelain face looked the same, a smug smirk crossed her lips and a calm gaze floated in her eyes. She calmly stood up and walked away from the train, by that time the train was long gone, the tracks were once again empty for her to run upon. She had already found a new entertainment though. Black clouds began to gather in the sky above her, but she didn't notice, she was talking to her new best friend. She had crouched down on the cold asphalt of the parking lot and discovered a little bug was slowly crawling his way across the huge parking lot, trying to get to a nearby tree for food. The girl felt saddened that the little guy had so far to go, she gently poked the bug and he instantly rolled back up into his ball. She giggled at the look of the little marble shaped bug, she rolled him around in her hands for a bit then set him down again. He popped out of his circular shield like an armadillo and began running towards his original goal. He obviously had to time to waste with this human blocking him! The girl smiled once more and picked up the little bug in such a way that he couldn't curl into his ball. He wriggled around furiously shaking and trying to break free, or return to his safety-ball. "Its okay little buggy, I'll help." Her voice was calm, soft and set the little bug down and ever so gently tapped him with the tip of her shoe. He rolled into his ball, then rolled a bit more closer to the tree. He didn't come out of his ball yet, so she kicked him again. He rolled even more closer now, she continued to kick the little bug until he literally flew into a nearby bush around the tree. Her lips opened again to speak... Another loud sound shattered the silence of her voice, the school bell had rung, everyone was already in class, she was late. She frowned, her smile melted away and her porcelain face seemed to crack with sadness. She turned the other way and ran to class. The silence of the outdoors was broken once more by the soft pounding of flipflops against the floor as she left.. Her voice was so soft in a whisper that the wind covered it up, "Did he make it?"..
