This is after Rocky Point Promise. Faith and Tate have gotten married. They have adopted a 8 year old boy. I'm going to call him T.J. He knows all about Mandy and how his parents met. I added in the child because children can ask the questions that adults just can't ask. Just one chapter. Really short. It is about those three. Tate, Faith, and T.J. Have we go...
One early rainy evening Tate, Faith, and T.J. were sitting on the couch watching a old movie on t.v. The movie was in a commercial break. Faith was telling Tate something that happen at the hospital, when T.J. interrupted her.
"Daddy, do you love Mandy more than you love Mommy?" T.J. asked.
Faith and Tate looked at each other before Tate answered, "What brought this on, buddy?"
"I was just wanted to know."
Tate paused for a second then Faith answered for him, "Isn't it time for bed. Let's go."
She grabbed T.J. hand and led him to his bedroom. "Does my bedtime change everyday? I feel like it does," T.J. told his mommy.
Faith didn't answer his question, instead she told him goodnight and gave him a kiss on the forehead. Then she tried to leave quickly, but she wasn't quick enough.
"Why didn't Daddy answer my question? Why don't you" T.J. mumbled.
Faith walked out of the room quickly; she pretended she couldn't hear him. She walked past Tate who was coming going in to say goodnight. "Warning. He is asking a lot of questions tonight." she warned him as quiet as possible.
Tate stood at the door to T.J.'s room. "Night!" He called into the dark room.
"Daddy, is Mommy ever jealous of you and Mandy?" T.J. asked.
"Night." Tate called again.
"Why don't you and Mommy have kids with anyone else? I want a brother."
"Go to sleep now, buddy"And walked away from the room quickly. So quickly he bumped into Faith who was sanding in the living room door giggles.
"The trick is pretend like you don't ear him and don't answer him. He won't bother you then." Faith advised him. Tate rolled his eyes, but could't help, but laugh with her. As always.
"Love you, honey," Tate mumbled.
