A/N – Um, I know this is a little... err, obscure, and also very random... it has a plot behind it but I'm not sure what it is... but I'm a Holly/Artemis freak... and this just came to me I guess. If you like it, review! If you don't... hey it just came to me okay? Don't blame me.
Also it's in sort of a weird format. I've used this also in my HP fic, The Sound of a Closing Book.
Ok... starting now.
"I can't believe you got us into this mess, Fowl."
Grins coolly. "Can't you?"
Gives withering look. "Actually, I believe I can. What I can't believe is that you don't have a plan to get us out of here."
"Plan's take time, Captain."
"Well unfortunately that's something we don't have much of in here." Sound of water splashing, submarine is leaking. Punches Artemis on the shoulder.
"Did we not already make it clear that the punching does not help with the thinking process?!"
"Jeez, you don't need to get so testy. Fine. I'll stop with the punching."
Silence.
"Will you stop that?!"
Surprised look, then glare. "Stop what? I'm not doing anything! What's the matter with you, Mud Boy?"
Glares. "Nothing. I'm just thinking."
More silence.
"Is this plan like the most complicated in history or what?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Well, the submarine is leaking, it's getting cold in here, and all you've been thinking of a plan for nearly five minutes already. Either something is wrong with you, or this is the most complicated plan I will have heard as yet. So which is it?"
Looks away. "Nothing."
"So something's wrong with you. Great. The one time when I need you most –"
There is much staring.
"The one time when... everyone needs you most..."
"Holly..." Flatly. "Are you part of everyone?"
Studies face. "Yes. I think I am."
More silence and staring, this time at floor.
"Now get on that plan, Fowl! If this submarine goes down... well, it will... not be good."
Evil grin.
