Why must they spit on us,
Hit us in the dark?
Why must we yell and cuss,
Beat people 'till we leave our mark.
Why do we hate each other,
In our anger be blind?
Why can't we act as a loving mother,
Be nice and kind?
Why must this grudge be twisted,
Mockings, beatings, and even death?
Why must the names be listed,
Of the lives not taken for the best?
Why don't we stop this now,
With the next generation?
Why don't we raise a brow,
And use some duration?
Why don't we work together,
Make this new?
