Perhaps Roy was being selfish, but he wanted his friend back. And at this point he was willing to to whatever it took to get him. Here, at the boy's door in his swim wear he felt stupid but he was willing to do anything to drag the other up and out of this box he'd made himself.
One Knock, Two Knock, Three- The door swings open and Kaldur is standing there in front of him. Door partly open looking at him, his almond eyes seem so /lifeless/ as he just… looks. "Yes?" He asks, and Roy wonders why it's so dark in the room. Maybe he'd just woken the other up, he knew that when depressed people did a lot of sleeping.
"Hey, I was just wondering if you'd like to take a swi-"
"Not really, thanks though." And he tries to close the door but Roy pushes his foot in it and even though it /hurts/ when the door meets his bare flesh it keeps it open so he can still talk to the other.
"I /really/ want to see you, won't you please come out?"
"I was napp-"
"How often do you get to see me, please Kaldur? For old time sakes?" Roy pleads with him, trying to look as hopeful as possible. And it works, the man on the other side of the door sighs heavy and opens it up.
"Fine." The Atlantean mumbles, stepping out into the hallway with his friend. The door closes softly behind him and he looks the red-head up and down. "Are we swimming?" He asks, but he knows the answer. Knows that Roy doesn't like to show off his scars of physic that is /quickly/ becoming a shell of what he'd used to be. His muscular arms loosing their strength and size, and his broad shoulders now seemed so… well, not.
He'd venture to say that Dick would quickly out grow him, in height, muscle, and everything else at the way the other was going- but he didn't say anything. He had no room to talk.
"Where else would we go?" Because Roy knows that the other is well aware that he doesn't like the ocean. His fear- phobia of water he can't see the bottom of. The risk that their could be sharks or something /darker/ waiting for them.
But they go, bantering back and forth and it's the most fun they've both had in a long while. Being able to take a break from the things that ale them both, and they love every second of it.
