She was near the beach, on the rocks, watching the horizon before her without really seeing it. It was sunny and windy and there she was: standing deep in thoughts...

"I was here she muttered I was..."

This didn't mean anything at all, maybe she was crazy but somehow maybe she wasn't. Why was everything always so complicated in Haven?

She had been in this place, right here, under another name. The woman on that picture, the one she thought was her mother was in fact her years ago. It was crazy but everything was crazy in this town.

Why was she even here? Why did she came back? How the hell did everything happen? Those were all the unanswered questions going through her head. God why everything has to be always so difficult? Why couldn't there be normal people in this bloody town? What was she supposed to do ? The same thing she did apparently many years ago?

She looked at the sky somehow tired.

"Is there anything else you want to send my way I mean anything at all?"

This was ridiculous she thought, she was talking like a fool sitting on the beach hoping for someone to respond. As if anybody had ever answered her before...

"'Cause I got to believe you got nothing left !"

At least she hoped.

"Whatever it is you'll handle it"

Great! Somebody was talking to her now. She turned around and then noticed a strange man rather old still besides her.

"I'm sorry do I know you?" she asked suspicious

The man looked at her before speaking again:

"Whatever you're dealing with, you'll figure it out. I've been in some rough places, had a few conversations with myself"

She laughed; he paused then and stared directly at her

"Eventually I got where I needed to be."

She asked:

"And where was that?"

"Where I'm standing. It's always where I'm standing" he finally answered.

He was sure a strange man, well maybe is philosophy wasn't that bad.

"Does this place mean something to you?" she said

"You know, sometimes, uh...you leave a mark where you've been. Sometimes the tide just washes it away. But you don't know until you come back, do you?

Yeah sure she thought, pondering on his last words ... until you come back ...

The thing was that even when things were strange in Haven, it seems like they were totally normal. And that was perhaps what scared her the most ...
