Author's Note

Uhhh...My first fan fiction, and it is bound to be a bit bad. I am open to reviews and what not. There aren't many Vietnam x Hong Kong fan fictions, so I shall provide. Buahahhaha! :DD I still need help with how things work. Surprisingly, this took me 2 days to figure out how to upload something. Yup, I am the master of nubs.

Prologue

"Tuuuuuyet! Tuuuuuuuuuuyet~!" A chubby lady called from inside the kitchen. She hears footsteps creak on the staircase and then the door opened, also creating creaky noises. "This place suuure is getting old, isn't it?" she asked as Tuyet came in.

"Yes Auntie Lan. Someone should really donate money for this orphanage" Tuyet answered. "What did ya want?" she asked and gave a big smile. Auntie Honda had cared for her since she was 3, so she kind of opened up to Auntie more than anyone with more happy gestures.

"Oh yes, I wanted to talk to you. You are getting adopted again. Please do not mess this one up, I want you to be happy, child." Auntie walked in front of Tuyet and held her hands to her cheeks, and she looked at Tuyet's eyes. "Go clean up, you must have worked hard today. I can see dirt on your face."

Tuyet pouted and averted her eyes to the hands that were on her cheeks. "I don't want a family…." She whispered quietly, but loud for Auntie to hear. She shook her head and Auntie's hands loosened from her cheeks, enough for her to bow her head and look at her old Chinese cotton shoes.

Auntie stared at Tuyet's head and hugged her; her hands stroking the back of her head. "I've noticed you been sadder and closing after your 7th foster home…..I didn't want to ask though…"

Tuyet's eyes widened and she regained herself. She sat up straight and gave a big smile. "What do you mean? I am happy, maybe you're getting to old" She laughed. "Anyway Auntie, who is it? There was never an interview."

Auntie began to talk about the man while Tuyet just looked out the window. Plans formed inside her head. Soon Auntie stopped gibber jabbing and went to sleep. Tuyet showered and laid on her futon on the floor. She lifted her pillow and took out a letter. It was from her step-brother, who was adopted. They had suffered together when they were young and had no parents- when she was 5 and her was 7. In the letter, it apparently just said that Yao ran from his home and found a good apartment and job in town, and he was inviting her to stay with him like families do because he stated and made an excuse that "it was scary in the dark." The letter also contained an address and money to get , It was sent 7 months ago. She just brushed it off and never opened it because the envelope had "To: My Lovely Gorgeous Sister333" with hearts all over, so she threw it under the pillow and got a bit ticked off. But now as she read it, she felt that she wanted to go with him and get out of this continuous cycle of being adopted then casted away. It wasn't her fault that she caused trouble or people didn't like her. So in the end, she told Auntie she was leaving and Auntie surprisingly agreed. So here she was, in front of an apartment door. Ready to knock.

Authors Note
