Dear Wilfred,

I'm glad you've got a new telescope, I bet you can see what I see outside my back window. The star you're searching for is still there, it just tends to fall out of view occasionally. You and Minnie, ey? I thought there was something going on between you two!
Wilf, you know how you always say about how you'd love to be travelling through the skies? Well...I'd love to be you right now, living in your lovely bungalow, watching Cash in the Attic and treating yourself to a flask of tea on your allotment while you look at the stars. They're beautiful, I would know, I live amongst them and I've travelled with so many. But sometimes I get so close and so involved that I damage them and that stops me from seeing them... You're right, you have got a star; Donna Noble, the most important woman in the universe. And you know why she's so strong? And so determined? It's because you remind her that she is. You show her she's brilliant and clever and funny and everything I'd ever want in a best friend...
Christmas party ey? I'll definitely be coming to that! And I'll be joining in with the karaoke as long as you do a duet with me...oo what should we sing, 500 miles? I know I'd travel 5 million galaxies for one of those cakes with ball bearings on!
It's sort of quiet...The TARDIS and I have decided to be alone for a while. Don't want to cause too much trouble!
Well...must be off now...got things to do and shelves to put up!
Promise me, you'll take good care of her. I was being true when I said I wish you were my Dad, you're certainly doing a great job with Donna.
You'll see me again one day.
Until Then...keep watching!
Your ever grateful and faithful friend,

The Doctor.

Ps. Tell Minnie to put the kettle on!
