"So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."~ Gandalf
~ Chapter 1~
I looked out upon the fields of war with utter sadness. What have we done? I asked myslef. Night was falling as I made my way back to the survivors camp, many had died for what cause? I had sat their for atleast an hour with Kili as the orcs ran in fear after the resuce of the Great Eagles of Gwhair. I stoped as a tall man whose name I didn't catch aske me.
"Have you seen a hobbit? short, shoeless, curly hair?" Asked the man.
"No I have not," I repiled "Wait, I saw one earlier heading up to Ravenhill, but I have not seen him since though."
I bid the man farewell and he continued to Ravenhill. I recahed the camp by nightfall, the dwarves set up a infirmary and gathering spot for survivors in the entrance hall of Erebor. I saw at once Legolas who had killed Bolg and lived through the battle.
"Tauriel, you have made it through is see," he said "Where is the dwarf friend of yours?"
I lowered my head to signal that he had been slain, one of about a billion as it seemed.
"Thranduril is in with the dwarf king, he is dying."
The line of Durin was almost emlinated that day. But, Thorins cousin Dain Ironfoot took up the throne of Erebor, a magnificent day it was his cornation, the day after the funerals of those lost. I stood in the line as the coffins were carried down into the heart of the mountain. I wept, for Kili, he promised me to return, but he didn't, it was an unfortunate thing these circumstances. He was buried to the right of this Thorin Oakenshield with is brother to the left.
After all had left to clean up the rest of the aftermath of war, i stayed and upon his tomb i layed his rune stone, his pormise to come back to me, we would see eachother agian, but not in this lifetime.
