FRIEND'S COMFORT

Takes place during the hospital scene in "We'll have a Good Time Then". It always bugged me that they just dismissed Turner with no explanations, so I'm bringing him back. Boy Meets World belongs to Disney, ABC, and anyone else who owns it. I'm doing the scene from memory, so if any of the lines are wrong, I apologize.
Shawn paced back and forth nervously.
"He'll be okay," Jack told him.
"Yeah, he's tough," Mr. Feeny added. "Besides, he owes me a game of pool," he continued.
"Shawn?" a voice asked. Shawn turned around.
"Mr. Turner, what are---" he began to ask.
"Topanga called, she said you could use me," Jonathan Turner answered. Shawn nodded. Wow. I can't believe Topanga would do this for me, he thought to himself. She knew him so well. Just having the man here made him feel a bit calmer. Jack and Rachel stared at the man. Who was he? And how did Shawn know him? Before anyone could say any more, the doctor came out.
"What's the word, doc?" Mr. Matthews questioned. The man looked at the group. He hated doing this.
"I'm sorry. We did all we could," he told them. For a moment, everyone was silent. Then, Shawn started to dart out of the hallway, but Jonathan quickly pulled him close.
"No! Let me go! He left! Everyone always leaves!"
"I'm right here, Hunter. I'm right here." Jonathan just held Shawn tightly as he hit him a few times, and then finally stopped as he started crying. "I'm so sorry, Shawn."
"I didn't mean what I said. I didn't mean it."
"I know. I know." Jack started to step closer, but Cory grabbed his arm, holding him back.
"Turner's got it," he said.
"Didn't mean it. All alone. I'm all alone." Jonathan just held the boy comfortingly, letting him cry.
