It was a nice calm morning in vanellopes castle in sugar rush. The royal family was just about to be served pancakes for breakfast, but the cooks noticed princess Lucy was absent.
"Where's Lucy?" Asked a chef
"I don't know, probably still sleeping" Said Kevin
"You sure about that? Princess Lucy is always first for pancakes"
"Maybe she's just really tired, she did have a long week at school with tests and all" said Vanellope
The family heard a meowing under the table. Lucy's pet cat Gumball was meowing and moving his head towards the hall. He wanted them to follow him. The family did just that, arriving at Lucy's bedroom which was barely open. Rancis opened the door and the family was shocked to see Lucy lying on the floor, shivering, and slightly pale.
Rancis rushed to her side.
"Princess, are you alright?" Asked Rancis
"So, cold" Said Lucy
"I'll get a doctor" said Vanellope
"Son, help me get Lucy back into bed" Said Rancis
"Achoo"
(Not long later)
A lollipop doctor was observing Lucy, feeling her forehead, looking at her eyes, taking her temperature. He finished his observations and faced the family.
"Got some good news, she's not dying. The princess seems to have caught a small virus in her code, resulting in a case of the flu, and she's also got chills. She'll be fine, but she'll find it hard to move about without feeling cold. My recommendation is she just relax in bed and rest. I'll also bring by some medicines to help with her symptoms"
"Thank you doctor lolli" Said Vanellope
The doctor left and Lucy had begun rolling herself up like a burrito.
"I'm still cold" Said Lucy before sneezing
Kevin glitched into his bedroom through the wall and gave Lucy his blanket from his bed and laid it over her.
"Thanks Kevin. Achoo"
"Well guess you'll be staying in bed today sweetie" Said Vanellope
"That's fine, I just need my phone, I need to call some people tell them I can't help them today" Said Lucy
"Don't do that sis, how about i take care of your stuff for the day?" Asked Kevin
"Really? You sure bro?" Asked Lucy before sneezing again
"You've done the same for me in the past, least I can do, we are family" Said Kevin
"Ok, if you insist, I have a checklist of things in my purse, front pocket, whatever you don't finish just circle I'll do it when I get better" Said Lucy
Kevin went to Lucy's purse which hung at the end of her bed. He pulled out a checklist of things to do and faced his sister. He patted her head.
"Get some rest sis, you can count on me" Said Kevin
"Why don't i believe you?" Asked Lucy
Kevin left the bedroom leaving Rancis and Vanellope alone with Lucy.
"Can we get you anything princess?" Asked Rancis
"Some tissues, lemon lime soda for my stomach, and my winter coat from my closet"
"Your winter coat? You that cold?" Asked Vanellope
"You have no idea" Said Lucy
Vanellope left the room while Rancis grabbed a black coat from the closet. Lucy glitched out of her blankets and quickly put the coat on. She tied it tight around her body then glitched back into bed.
"Thanks dad" said Lucy
"Your welcome princess" said Rancis "If you need anything from me or mom, just call us"
"I will dad, thank you" Said Lucy
