Missing Them

Summary: A look into the scene shared by Harry and Hermione in Deathly Hallows. Implied Pairings: Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione.

It was her stare that he always seemed to remember. Her intense stare always sent shivers down his spine, as he quickly turned away from the crying eyes of Hermione Granger. Ron had left only three days prior and the only comfort Harry had was the memory of his now 'ex' girlfriend Ginny. Looking towards the tent opening Harry sighed. It was raining. Even the sky was crying for him and Hermione. They were both without their loved one. He with Ginny and she with Ron, but with them not there Harry was angry and hurt. The words Ron spewed in anger at him still ran through his mind. He didn't have a family, but that didn't mean that he did not see the Weasleys as his surrogate family (well everyone in the Weasley family except Ginny).

His fiery, strong, independent Ginny. Oh, how he wished she was wrapped in his arms again, but he knew he couldn't be with her when he has Voldemort hunting him down. A small scowl crossed his lips as he thought of Ginny in the Death Eater filled Hogwarts. "Stupid Snape…" he muttered in anger. "Stupid Ron." He ran his hand through his messy black hair and got up from his small chair in ill content. Hermione was still sitting in the same position, her small arms wrapped firmly around her legs. He walked towards Hermione in a slow pace and held out his hand. 'Come on, Hermione.' Harry thought as he continued to wait.

The silent plea was answered as he felt Hermione's hand in his. His held breath now released. Pulling her closer to him Harry began his awkward version of a dance. Their bodies were close as they wrapped each other in their arms. Laughter was shared only for a moment, as the dance they shared now came to an end. They were now staring into each other's eyes. Green into brown and brown into green. It definitely wasn't the same.

With a sigh, Harry released Hermione and watched as she left the small tent with thoughts of Ron and he of Ginny. He looked toward the tent opening again wishing that this Horcrux Hunt could be over.
