Number of Words:

Kiss

So they had never actually kissed. But Seras figured there had been enough kiss-worthy moments and kiss-ettes that it counted as like six real kisses.

There had been the time they met. When he bit her he did give her the 'Kiss of Death', yes but after he did lick the blood off of her face. So she counted that as two halves.

Then there was the time in the basement hall just a few days ago when Alucard told her he was going to be going on a mission that will have him out of the mansion for a week and a half with out her.

After her master had said that they had just looked at each others faces for a few seconds. She could swear she saw him lean down, before disappearing. She counted that as another half.

Then right before he left, after she had whispered "I'll miss you", Alucard grabbed her hand and kissed it lightly. Which Seras totally counted as one whole since there was lip contact.

Finally there were the dreams of him kissing, and other things, to her. Very…lifelike dreams. That she counted as three, if not for their intensity but their frequency as well.

And this, dissection of their kisses, or lack of them, she counted as another half. So six kisses total.

She nodded with determination. Six was a good believable number she thought, not that she had much experience in the area. It also made her feel less pathetic, knowing that she had kissed him six times.

She had things to do so she unfolded her arms from behind her head and sat up as she sighed. Normally, even with her mental blocks up, she couldn't dwell on a subject even remotely similar to this. She could keep her master out of her head completely but she had to concentrate so hard she couldn't actually think of any thing else.

So for the past hour she had put off her other responsibilities and sat here thinking about how much she wished he'd kiss her.

So Seras was a little more than flustered when she looked up and saw him sitting at her table, boots up as usual.

But Seras had matured over the past four years. So instead of jumping up and smacking her skull on the top of her coffin bed she just played with her fingers in her lap and turned slightly red.

"I suppose it's nice that you think of me when I'm away but is this really all you do when I'm gone Police Girl?" He asked with a chuckle in his voice.

It was more than a question. As he asked Seras felt her Master's aura push lightly against her haphazardly placed blocks. With a sigh and deepened blush she let them all down.

After what felt like hours but was really little more than two minutes Alucard pulled out of her mind.

"Six, Seras?" He paused to look at her expression, guilty like a child who had stolen a candy bar. When she remained silent he moved to sit next to her on the coffin/bed head bent over hers, partially because he was so tall he would smack his head on the top and partially because he wanted her to look at him.

She turned even redder. Alucard mentally noted she had obviously been drinking her blood and more if she could possibly be this shade of scarlet.

"If my calculations are correct." She muttered audible only to the ancient vampire's ears.

Her blush deepened and she put her hands on her face.

He grabbed her chin with an iron grip that should have left bruises, forcing her to look at him.

She looked at him expectantly, her lips parting on their own accord.

He kissed her lightly and briefly, but it was more than enough to leave her stumbling for words as he pulled away.

As his form disappeared she heard the familiar disembodied voice, forever teasing her, "That, Police Girl was one."

She sighed, turned red yet again, and exasperatedly threw her head between her knees.
