Ugh. I sigh internally. Today's the big day. The day I get to test my gem.

For the past 17 years, it's been more of a decoration than of any use. The most useful thing that it has done is scared the hell out of the Chrystal Gems. And I say that's useful, because honestly, Amethyst is gross, (no, disgusting) Pearl is insane, and Garnet's just plain scary.

Let me explain. My name is Leonika. It used to be Onyx, but I wanted to change it. I am part of the Chrystal Gems (Well, sort of) with Amethyst, Pearl, Garnet, and Steven Universe. He was my best friend for 10 years. After BB totally ripped me apart, well, I can't say that. Technically, Raven did say that she knows he doesn't like her. But I'm over him. Anyway, after Beast Boy crushed me, I left Jump City. After that, I went to the only place I would fit in: Beach City, a strange place full of magic.

I sensed strong magical activity inside of a small house on the beach. Assuming that was where Steven lived, I knocked on the door. I explained what happened and Steven insisted they let me crash there. I'm pretty sure Pearl winced when she saw me. I think Amethyst was excited though. My troublemaker rep doesn't run well with everyone, but at least Amethyst, Garnet and Steven like me.

"We have so much catching up to do!" I exclaimed when I first saw him.

"Yeah! How's the gem?" Steven asked. "Is it cracked?" he added grimly. I laugh because I know he is teasing me. My gem is a black Onyx on the back of my head. I'm kind of glad it's back there because it doesn't mess up my hair, and it's easy to grab my weapon, an egg-white morning star. I had no idea what it was called, so I had to look it up. It's that spiky ball thingy on a chain connected to a pole.

Steven and I talk for a while, until he asked the question I've feared.

"So, um… Why'd you leave us? I haven't seen you since we were ten."

I sat, speechless.

"I don't want to talk about it…"

"But I do!" he said, almost aggressively. I thought about that for a moment.

"Don't anger me. I can do more now that I left for the Titans Tower. They taught me to ignore my gem and use other things I hid about myself from you and the Gems," I said, trying to keep calm.

"Oh my Gem! There it is again. Always talking about the Titans! Titans this, Titans that. Titans, Titans, Titans! And that Beast Boy guy! I thought you were over him!"

I walked closer to him, nose-to-nose.

"Don't you dare 'Oh-my-Gem' me! I told you, don't anger me! And DO NOT talk about BB that way!" I felt myself light the fuse inside. Every second the flame getting closer to the bomb.

"Then stop talking about the damn Titans!" he yelled, not even fazed by my tone.

The bomb went off.

Stay tuned for my next story!
