The rain poured down on my cold body, making me and my surroundings damper. I lifted my head to see where I was. It was completely dark, giving me the idea the area around me was desolate. Suddenly, lighting flashed, briefly giving me a hint of my surroundings. As far as my eyes could see in that moment, I only saw red flowers. Each seemed to have four petals per stem. These clearly weren't roses, or any KIND of flower I've seen. I got up off the ground, but did not feel any flowers, but rather, dirt stuck between my toes. Maybe I was on some path? "Weird," I thought. The most recent memory I had was wearing knee socks. I took a step forward, only to run into something, and be greeted by a gasp and a thump. I got on my knees and groped to see where this other creature was at. "Are you ok?!" I called out, hoping for an answer. I quickly felt something's fingers entwine with mine, and my chest felt something breathing on me. Or rather, an it. I looked at the creature to catch a glimpse of it's face, as another flash of lighting struck. It was tear stained, but still in the process of crying. It was another Keronian, and still a tadpole at that. They had black hair, along with a black headband. I couldn't tell what color they were or what their insignia was, as the lightning passed. They jerked, to symbolize their sniffles and crying. I was concerned, and opened my mouth to speak. I stopped, however. I didn't know what to say. With that, the Keronian had put a gun she was holding up to her head. She quickly fired it, lighting up as it went off. I got a better chance to see her. It WAS a she. She was a black color, and her insignia was a purple diamond shape, like a diamond on a playing card. I gasped at the sight of her dead corpse. I didn't recall this girl at all, but I couldn't help but mourn over her dead body, as she had taken her own life.
My eyes jerked open, letting in the sunlight. I heard giggling as I awoke. "You're such a heavy sleeper, Melili!" It giggled. That's right, my name was Melili. I was a light purple Keronian, at tadpole level. Most female Keronians shed their tails late. I wore a top hat, with a blue ribbon tied around it. My short, brown hair came out of the back, and bangs out of the front. It had little white flaps as well. My insignia, only on my belly, was a stylus. I grabbed a tablet with a metal like surface and the same looking stylus. Anything I drew on it could come to life, however the nib on my pen sometimes needed to be replaced. "Come on! Hurry up, we're going to be late!" The voice called to me, trailing off. It belonged to my roommate, Enpipi. She stayed with me in my apartment here on Keron. We were childhood friends, and she loved changing her appearance. Lately, we had been packing for a vacation to Pekopon. I got up, and quickly got ready. Took a shower, did my hair, etc. By the time I finished, Enpipi was waiting for me outside with our luggage. Enpipi was also at tadpole level, was light blue, was a ginger, and had a pencil insignia on her hat and belly. She already had taken out our hovercrafts, and quickly jumped on mine. We both took off, sharing the same amount of luggage to carry, as I followed her to the space train station.
