ANGELS DON'T CRY
Chapter one: The tears of a broken Angel
DRIP DROP DRIP DROP… BANG
Cali whimpered in fright as she heard a gunshot go off. Her mother held Cali's frail body close to her as she whispered soothing words to the frightened child. An eerie silence came over the house as footsteps could be heard heading up the stairs. The door to Cali's room swung open and the silhouette of a man came to the door to the closet. He opened it slowly and pointed the gun at Cali's mother…
BANG!
Her mother's body slouched as burgundy colored blood seeped out of the gunshot wound and splashed on the young frightened child's head.
Cali bolted upright in her bed and let loose a scream as tears fell from her eyes. She looked left then right making sure she was alone. Once she was satisfied with her safety, she calmed down.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Cali jumped in fright as her alarm clock went off. She hurriedly turned it off and got out of bed. She wrapped the sheet around her nude body and went to her closet before pulling out her school uniform. Cali let the sheet fall to the ground and quickly put on her underwear and slipped on her black trousers. Next she quickly put on her bra and slipped on a black tank top, and then her black long sleeved, button up school shirt. She looked outside and sighed. "I hope he's not home." She though sadly. She quickly looked away and ran down the stairs into the kitchen she grabbed an apple, her backpack, her keys, and her helmet, Cali then darted out the door. After locking the door and putting on her helmet, Cali ran over to her Ducati and hopped on. She quickly put it in gear and drove to school.
*an hour later*
Cali parked her Ducati and slipped off her helmet. She quickly chained up her Ducati to the pole next to her and went to her favorite spot to think.
After walking a little she found a cherry blossom tree and sat underneath it. She thought back to her mother and her father, to that fateful day when they died. She would never forget her mother's soothing words to her…
"Angels don't cry." That was her way of saying: 'stay strong, don't cry.'
But look where no crying got Cali; sitting under a cherry blossom tree wallowing in self-pity. Fate sure has a twisted way of saying: "Haha I win."
Forget fate…
The bell rang and she locked up at the school bell and glared at it. She got up and trotted off to her locker to get ready for class…
