--------------------------------------RUSTBORO CITY-----------------------------------
Rika woke up, put on her school uniform, brushed her teeth and grabbed her lunch. The usual. She had been practicing this routine since she was six. Time for another day of learning the SAME stuff over again. Yay? "Rikaa!! You're almost late for Pokémon School!" her mother called from upstairs. "I KNOW, Mom!" Rika's long purple hair, put up into a neat ponytail, rippled behind her as she dashed for the door. When Rika opened the door, she noticed a small basket on the ground. She peered closer to find that there was a Pokémon egg inside. The egg was purple, with a gleaming red gem protruding from the front. What Pokémon is THAT? Rika checked her watch. Oh CRUD. 7:29! She had to be at school by 7:30 sharp! She concealed her egg in her backpack and ran to Trainers' School.
Meanwhile, Kiku was just dragging herself out of bed. Her clock flashed 7:18 in bright red letters. She brushed her hair and threw on her uniform. Kiku slung her bag over her shoulder and was about to start the daily jog to school when she noticed a strange light. Was it...human shaped? No, it was just a Kirlia. Wait... a KIRLIA? Why was a Pokémon in her house? She slowly slid over to the glowing Pokémon and poked it. It seemed real enough. GO POKÉBALL! The Pokémon went willingly inside and the ball transformed into a green and white orb, barely resembling a Pokéball. Was someone watching her? No, it must have just been her imagination. Strange day. She checked her watch. 7:29! Kiku crammed the ball in her backpack and ran to school.
She peered out from behind the bushes. "All clear. They have claimed the Pokémon and are going to school. Out." she said into her cell phone and hung up. Her white dress swirled around her as she unfolded her tiny wings and flew away.
School seemed to drag on and on. When it was finally over, the teacher reminded the class that tomorrow was graduation day. Rika and Kiku's heads shot up simultaneously. Finally! No school forever! Just then, the bell rang. Students flooded out the gates.
