Emily loves drabble very much!! It saved her from writer's block, and so she is eternally grateful. Never mind that she only wrote about half a page. But it's cute. So… on with the show!
Roxas tapped his pen on his lip, searching for inspiration in the farthest corners of his mind. His coffee was growing cold on the grimy diner table, but the blonde was convinced that as soon as he picked it up a stroke of genius would hit and run before he could even swallow.
It really shouldn't have been that hard, but the newspaper clipping on the strange green surface of the table mocked him endlessly.
"Damn," he muttered, thinking out loud as always, "Ten letters… ten letters…" Why was the danged thing so difficult?! Roxas mentally blamed the fact that it was 7 am on a Saturday and he was trying to poof away a hangover with large portions of awful cooled tea.
He reread the hint: number 14 across, describes the strange or unknown. He recounted the little boxes with the tip of his pen, leaving small dots of black ink behind. "Definitely ten…" he said softly.
Roxas swore as someone in the half open kitchen dropped a pan; the sound murder to his spinning head.
He felt something move behind him. He glanced back, but his eyes were captured by those of the man reading over Roxas' shoulder. "Mysterious." He said slowly, his green eyes sparkling with silent laughter.
Yay. I know it's short but I just had to post it. Fear the cuteness!! . I just realized I didn't actually say what Roxas was doing. If you hadn't guessed, it was a crossword puzzle. Those darned things. Pwease review for the sake of drabble!
