One Thing The Thief Would Not Steal
~Tendershipping One-Shot~
Bakura sighed and leaned back against his back board that was attached to his bed.
He lived with his hikari. A person whom he had tormented all his life yet he still let him live with him. Bakura didn't do anything to Ryou now, now that they had their own bodies. He only did it because he needed control of his host's body.
Now they were almost friends. Almost because Bakura didn't know if Ryou even considered him a friend. He might. Ryou was just that kind of person; He would forgive someone even when they ripping his favorite stuffed animal as a child. Ryou was nice, and Bakura liked it that way.
Bakura didn't want to do anything that would turn his hikari into a ruthless bully.
Ryou was kind and absolutely adorable which was probably why all the girls wanted him.
Bakura hit his head against the back board.
He knew Ryou liked somebody. Ryou had told a girl that when a girl asked him out and rejected her and she had asked why. He didn't tell her who of course, but still that piece of information was enough to make all the fangirls go wild at the mention of the chance they might get with Ryou.
The best part about Ryou liking someone was that Bakura had a chance. Sure it was a small chance, but hey maybe someday the gods will be with him, right?
Bakura also knew Ryou didn't like one of his fangirls. All of his fangirls had asked him out at one point in life.
Heck! He might even be gay! Ra knows he's happy enough...
Bakura lost concentration about what he was first thinking about and began to think about all the wild fantasies he could have with Ryou.
There was a delicate knock at Bakura's closed bedroom door.
"Bakura," came Ryou's soft voice drifting through the door.
Bakura snapped out of thought at his hikari's voice.
"I'm going out for candy... would you like some?"
"Sure," Bakura replied.
"Okay I'll be back later," Ryou said as he ran off.
Bakura became lost in thought as he wondered how he could get Ryou to be his Ryou. He could give him flowers. No to expected. Chocolate? No still to expected. Cook him dinner? Bakura couldn't use a stove to stay alive. Buy him something nice? Bakura didn't have money... But he could always steal it...
NO!
Bakura hit himself on the head. His hikari wasn't to fond of Bakura stealing things all the time. He also didn't like Bakura's killing sprees.
Bakura was trying to stop. Of course he still stole every once in a while, but not often enough to be noticed.
Bakura could just take Ryou though...
No he couldn't.
The trust between Ryou and Bakura would be broken.
And Bakura wasn't exactly that kind of person.
Sure he killed people, but that wasn't the same.
That was the one thing the thief wouldn't steal...
Ryou's innocence.
