This story is for you, the gamers and viewers of Pokémon. This is to those who grew up with Pokémon from the beginning. I write this for those alienated by the continuity of the franchise, its failure to adapt to its original, most faithful audience. This is a fusion of the old with new ideas. New concepts. New places. New heroes. Questions answered, discrepancies addressed. A refreshing spin on one of the most malleable universes in fiction. For you, this was made.

Readers unfamiliar with the Pokémon franchise, beware. I am not writing this to cater to those who are not familiar with the basic aspects of the Pokémon universe.

Those who are more suited to the kid-friendly Pokémon universe, beware. I crafted this story to reach out to an older, more mature audience.

To the die-hards who stick to the canon as if it were the law, beware. This is my interpretation of the Pokémon universe.
