"Jerry Caesar Martinez! Get your BUTT IN HERE!" Kim's powerful voice echoed from across the mall, straight from Falafel Phil's. Jack swore he thought he heard a muffled scream.

What was that?

He soon got his answer, as he saw his best friend sprinting to him. That explains a lot.

A very frightened Jerry ran into the dojo emitting a 'Columbian War Chant'. He ran straight into Jack.

"Jack!" Jerry pleaded with him as Jack crossed him arms. "Jack, man, you have to help me! Kim's angry and on the loose and I don't know what to do, yo!"

Jack held up his hand. "Okay, first of all: tell me what you did to her." Rolling his eyes, he thought Jerry had just stolen Kim's phone again. It happened all the time. Kim should really be used to Jerry's nonsense by now.

Trembling, Jerry cupped his hand around his best friend's ear. He whispered his crime against Kim to his one loyal, faithful–

"Oh, dude! You are dead meat!" Jack whipped back and stared at Jerry with wide eyes. "I'm staying out of this one." And with that he walked over to the dummy and practiced his spinning back kick.

"What?"

"You heard me. Your best shot is to hide out in Rudy's office, and I'll stall Kim."

Mumbling under his breath, "Some friend," Jerry ran over to Rudy's office, crouched in a fetal position underneath the desk.

Just as the door closed, the dojo's bell chimed, letting Jack know that Kim had entered. From the way that the door slammed behind her, he imagined she was a tad peeved. He closed his eyes and pictured a girl with disheveled hair, frothing at the mouth, and ready to pounce.

He turned around and was met with something not too different from his daydreaming.

Although she was dressed quite normally, the average person could have mistaken Kim for an asylum escapee. Screaming at the top of her lungs, she ran towards Jack. "JERRY MARTINEZ! I WILL FIND YOU AND I WILL KILL YO– Oh, hey Jack."

Nervously he chuckled and waved. "What are you yelling about?" He scratched the back of his neck, trying to pass of as nonchalant.

She narrowed her eyes at him, her brown orbs scrutinizing every centimeter of his face.

"You know something."

Three words. Three words is all it took for Jack's voice to give him away. "Whaaaaat?" HIs voice cracked, as it always did when he was under pressure.

She cackled in victory, for a moment resembling Gothel from Rapunzel. "Oh, you definitely know something."

His voice stayed about two octaves higher than normal. "Nope, no, I don't know anything at all. Hehe. I don't even know the time. Where am I? Who am I?" He widened his eyes convincingly.

Kim smirked. "Nice try, Jack. Now tell me where Martinez is or suffer the consequences!"

Although Jack was a fourth degree black belt, and Kim was only a first degree, he still felt intimidated as her 5'4" figure peered up at him.

"Kim, you need to get over it. Jerry didn't do that much! You should be used to him by now!"

"Didn't do that much? DIDN'T DO THAT MUCH?"

He backed up. "Whoa, Kim. Don't take your anger out on me. I-I'm an innocent bystander!"

She snorted, while advancing on him with a menacing glare that could knock out the toughest of men. "Innocent, my guinea pig's butt! You probably had something to do with this, didn't you?"
"N-no! I-I just, um, Jerry's in there!" Jack collapsed on the bench in defeat. He jerked his thumb in Rudy's office's direction.

Smiling sweetly down at him, she replied, "I thought so." Her smile dropped as she stormed towards the office.

"JERRY MARTINEZ! YOU WILL PAY FOR TAKING MY FALAFEL BALL!"
