Hal's P.O.V.

Chapter 1:

I ran to Maths as quickly as possible, I couldn't be late, as much as I disliked Maths, I also hated being late.

I walk into class just on time, I sat down and the bell rang. About half way through that painful class I was really getting into the Page 9 questions(on Algebra) when the schools secretary walked in.
"Hal Bennett?"

I suddenly looked up. "Yeah, that's me"
"The principle needs to see you, bring your things, you won't be back this period."

I shut my books and skilfully put them in my bag, so it was all one big swift motion, then I put my bag on my back and stood up, I left the room and sensed everyone's eyes watching me, looking at the back of my head, wow, how interesting.

Walking down the corridor I was a mixture of feelings, what did I do wrong? I always do my homework, always get to school on-time, even if I do have to run. The rest of my thoughts passed because as quickly as I knew it, I was outside Mr. Thornhill's office.

Feeling as though my heart was about to burst out of my chest I pushed the door open.
