"Chapter 1: The Mission"
"You know why you are here," stated Cid, walking up and down the line of Zell, Squall, Selphie, and Irvine. "A revolt has been started against what we have done. I am asking you to stop them, and find out was is behind it all" Cid says as he leans forward hands behind his back, looking at the faces of those summoned before him searching for a reaction. "As the situation is very delicate now, I am asking you to remain as inconspicuous as possible. You may ask Xu any questions on your way there." Cid smiled as he saw Squall reassuringly nod. "You are dismissed." Cid remarked as he moved back to his desk. Squall, and Zell turn and begin walking, followed shortly by Irvine, and Selphie.
"So what do you think this is really about?" Zell asked Squall, as if excited.
"I'm not sure, there's deffinetely more to it then he tells us." Squall said, in his usual emotionless manner.
"Oh" Zell said, obviously disappointed.
"Well it's good to see all of you again," a women's voice said.
"Hmmm" Selphie muttered as they all looked backward to see the smiling face of Xu.
"I'm sure you've already met with Cid" Xu said, almost questioningly.
"Yeah, we're supposed to stop some riots" Squall said, speaking for all of them.
"Well let's go, we'll talk on the way." Xu said as she began leading them to the parking lot. "Truth is it's not just riots, they've also kidnapped members of SeeD that we already dispatched to stop the riots. That's why we've asked you, we figured that it would best if we had our upper-class SeeDs go, and you were the obvious choice."
"Why aren't Quistis, or Rinoa coming with us?" Zell asked.
"Quistis isn't coming because she is on another mission, and Rinoa won't be coming because she has yet to finish her SeeD exams" Xu answered. It reminded Squall that Rinoa might be a full-fledged SeeD within two weeks, and he was sure she'd have no problem with the exam.
"Well we should get on our way." Xu said as they reached the parking lot. Squall looked around, it seemed like forever since he had last been here. When was it, when they were dispatched to Balamb for the SeeD exam with Seifer? Seifer that reminded him, it had been two months now and nobody had heard word from Seifer, Fujin or Raijin. Despite everything that happened he still wanted to know that they were all right, and after a little thought he decided he'd look for them right after this mission. They walked over to a car that had already been prepared for them they walked in one by one, having no idea what was about to happen.

They had been in the car for more then half and hour and it had been all too silent. It seemed like you could smell the anxiety on the air.
"Where are we headed to anyway?" Squall asked, looking up to Xu.
"We'll be heading to Timber, in fact we should be boarding the boat soon." Xu answered mechanically, obviously she had been told this information many times. Squall felt disheartened at thinking about having to travel by boat again, even after all that they had done all the weapons they acquired on the mission, and the airship had been confiscated they were told that they were 'Unapproved foreign objects' Squall knew it was a poor excuse and knew that they knew it too. Squall lost his train of thought as the car squeaked to a stop.
"We're here," said Xu.
