"Don't cry..." He would whisper into her hair, sweet and quiet. Something sincere, something that he was never able to be. Moonlight streamed in through the windows...silk skin glowing.
"This is a dream...this is a dream...this can't be real," Voice cracking. Fear striking her words. She hated this dream. He sighed, breath untouched by her skin.
"This ain't real. I'm sorry. I just had to see ya one last time..."
His ghostly reflection in her eyes made him wince. Tears rolled down her velvet cheeks.
"I-I don't want you to go...it's not fair..." The ache was finally settling in Gin's stomach. The feeling in his arm that he had lost was starting to stab him. He knew in the real world, in the world Aizen was destroying, she was bleeding out while he faded away.
He placed a paper thin hand on face, wiping away those God forsaken tears.
"You've gotta go back, now, love. We can't stay here forever," Striking blue eyes peer out behind pale eyelids, seeing the beautiful little girl laying in the small bed that resembled Gin's very own back in Hueco Mundo. It was gone now...everything was gone now.
"You can't go. I-I won't let you...I've lost everyone, Gin. I've lost all of them...why...why did I believe in Aizen? Why did I ever believe in that man...that monster..." Time was running out. The hourglass sand was withering away. Gin had no more time to spare.
"I know, I know, darlin'. But...but I wantcha to wake up and go out fightin', okay? I wantcha to try. Even if ya don't get anything done...I'll be waitin' right here for you. When the time is right, acourse. I'll go and find 'um. I go and find Ulqui and Grimmy and everyone else. We don't have to see Aizen ever again...I promise," Gin stood, thin silver hairs covering his eyes. He took the small, fragile hand of Kitty and pulled her up with him to embrace her one last time.
"You were the best friend an arrancar could ever have..." Kitty's words slipped into Gin's ears, burning them. He did not want to leave her. He only wanted to hold her even more.
"Us foxes gotta stick together..." He muttered, voice low and sweet, "Tell Matsumoto...ask her who could love her more than me..."
'Cuz I'd be shining, and then you'd see...who could love you more than me. No one can love you more than me.
The world disappeared into white, shining and brilliant. The world disappeared, and pain returned. The world was Gin-less. The world was quiet.
-Fin.
