He rolled up the ancient parchment again. Tucking it in his belt, the man covered himself in his silver thorn patterned black cloak. So it'll be soon. The men thought as he walked into an alley. All around shadows stirred, he stopped. He looked around, and saw that no one followed. He muttered something as he continued. Again he stopped as the sound of footsteps echoed in the alley. "Well, well what do we have here?" someone yelled out from the shadows. As soon as the sounds stopped echoing, three men came into view. The man eyed them carefully as he continued walking. Each wore ragged clothes and carried a rusty scimitar. He stopped again as another man appeared out of nowhere in front of him. Taller then the rest, the confronter smelled of sewage. Clearly the leader, he thought. "It seems a lost civilian has wandered into our alley" he smiled at the cloaked man. The cloaked man looked behind him and saw that the other three have blocked off the exit and had their sabers out. He looked back at the leader, "If you can please move I'll be on my way." The leader laughed, "Sure we'll move but give us anything that you have of value." The cloaked man smiled, "I'm but an old man walking down this dark alley to find a place to beg. I have nothing of value but this cloak." "Then I guess you won't be getting out of this alley to beg then," he laughed again as he drew a menacing sword from behind him. "Oh but I think I will," he smiled as his hands glowed black with mana. The leader's eyes open with fear before darkness clouded his eyes. The cloaked man withdrew his hand from the leader's gut as the giant man suddenly vanished into thin air. The three other thieves charged at him with their sabers. The cloaked man swirled around, bringing his open hand toward them. Bolts of black lightning shot out towards the three. They stopped in their run and stared in disbelief as the bolts of lightning struck them. Their screams of pain echoed throughout the city.

As the charred bodies of the three fell into a pile. Fools, the cloaked man thought as he continued down the alley; you should never challenge someone you don't know. He laughed to himself, "Especially, when if the person is Illsur Khenava."
