Time flows On pt 2
Corrin looked around, confused. Lilith said there was one other person who wanted to say something before she returned, but where? She was standing on The Great Wall of Suzano, where Gunter lost his life. It still hurt when she thought about it, but she had to be strong for her sibling and for Kana.
"You were always strong my dear" an achingly familiar voice sounded from behind her. Corrin's eyes widened. It couldn't be, "Gunter" she took a step forward hoping what she was seeing was not a lie "Gunter I…"
"Hush" He murmured "We don't have much time, just listen" Gunter looked calmly at her.
" But I need to say something. I should have been able to stop Takumi, I should have been stronger, I-" Corrin stuttered over her words wanting to get them out before she had to go back.
"Shhh, it's ok, my love" Gunter gently brushed a finger over her lips. stopping Corrin from continuing. He smiled at the memories that emerged from such a simple touch, holding her as they slept, the morning kisses, such simple thing most people would take for granted. His fondest memory is when Corrin had told him she was pregnant, he would never guessed he would get a chance to be a father again.
"You can't change what's happened in the past, time may have stopped for myself and others, but it still moves on for you"
Corrin nodded "I want to stay here with you, but...but the others still need me" Corrin closed her eyes, "Kana still needs me"
"Yes he does, the battle is almost over for you" Gunter smiles calmly "I love you Corrin, be well"
Tears prick at the corner of her eyes "I love you too" the scene fades before her, time to go she thinks, back to her family, back to reality.
