OMNISCIENT POV
Rose wrapped her royal blue coat around herself tightly before she stepped outside into the cold air. It looked like it was about to snow, and Scorpius Malfoy was supposed to meet her out here soon. They were heading to Rose's house for the holidays, and Scorpius wasn't exactly expected, though the thought of him walking through the door with Rose and the priceless look on her father's face made her chuckle. The chuckle changed to a laugh as Rose lifted her chin to the clear, white sky.
"What's gotten you so tickled?" Rose heard behind her. Rose turned and saw Scorpius, tall and blonde, standing with his hands tucked carefully into his coat.
"The thought of my father seeing you walk through his front door," she said with a playful grin.
"You're insane!" Scorpius teased. "I'm losing my mind 'cause I'm so nervous!"
He walked towards Rose and pulled her into a warm embrace. Rose gave him a quick squeeze and let go, bouncing up and down excitedly to keep warm. Scorpius grinned and went to pick up his small trunk.
"Where are your bags? I could help you carry them," Scorpius offered.
"Don't bother. They've already been put on the train," Rose assured train hadn't even pulled into the station yet. Overachiever.
"Naturally," he teased. Rose was such an overachiever at heart, even though she often tried to break rules(she either got too nervous to succeed or reported herself if she got away with anything.). Scorpius remembered how, when she was announced a prefect, she had furrowed her brow and stared motionlessly at her dinner plate for five minutes. James and Scorpius had roared with laughter at her intense expression. Rose was annoyed by that earlier, but now she rolled her eyes.
"Don't get cocky, Scorpius. I just might have to leave you in the cold." She gave him a peck on his nose, then turned on her heel, her blue and bronze scarf fluttering in the cold gust of wind.
"She'll be the death of me," he decided quietly. "God, I love her." So he followed her through the courtyard as snowflakes lightly swung down to the earth.
