Disclaimer: I don't own Star Wars.
A/N: I watched the prequels first, and fell in love with the Clones. I cried when they turned and I got a thought in my head and thought it'd be cool to see where it went. I ended up with this.

As the three moons of Tatooine shone through the window above the bed, painting white light on the otherwise dark blankets, Obi-Wan couldn't help but think of her partner.
Anakin Skywalker should've be there with her, in bed with her, raising his child with her.
It shouldn't have ended up like this, her heart whispered brokenly, curling in on itself.
Absently, she thought of Luke, of sandy blonde hair in the sun and a bright smile glinting in the glare.
"You're thinking about him." A voice rough and more heavily accented by sleep murmured lowly in her ear. A genetically smooth chin touched her naked shoulder, a heavy weight draping over her and a naked chest pressing to her own.
Obi-Wan kept her eyes on the bedspread, counting the heartbeats pounding through the thin layers of fatmusclemeattheForce into her skin, and watched as the covers resettled over Cody and herself.
"Yes," she admitted slowly, pushing through the thick memories.
Cody made a noise low in his throat, his chest vibrating against her. His eyelashes brushed the hollow of her throat and he jerked when she curled chilled fingers around his back.
"He's fine. Sleeping like a baby."
Cody mumbled indiscriminately, holding the covers up into the air as Rex slipped silently up to the bed and climbed in beside Obi-Wan.
Obi-Wan squealed, his icy toes finding hers at the bottom of the bed.
Cody choked on a laugh and Rex huffed as he settled himself more firmly under the covers, wrapping himself around Obi-Wan and his brother without a thought. The blaster slipped smoothly back into its holster above his head.
"Good," Obi-Wan murmured belatedly, blinking drowsily at the ceiling.
Luke had been plagued with visions from the Force the past weeks, and Obi-Wan had wanted to keep a close eye on him. If that meant that they were dragged from their beds in the middle of the night like they hadn't been in years, so be it.
Not, Obi-Wan thought, that it wasn't a bit of a hassle.
Once again, Obi-Wan found herself longing for the Temple. For the feeling of cool floor under her feet and the hum of the Force soaking into her skin.
Obi-Wan rejected the thought as soon as it formed, pursing her lips in pain and clenching her eyes shut.
She fought to release her aged sorrowragehatred into the Force.
Clone arms crushed her, duty bound her, pain kept her, and pure force of will kept her from wiping Tatooine off the face of the galaxy.
She took a breath. Another.
The window panes stopped rattling.
And all was quiet in the house among the shifting sands.
