DG couldn't stop tossing and turning.

The pillow wasn't right. She couldn't breathe through her nose. It's too hot. It's too cold. Her arm was falling asleep. Her legs were restless. Her mind wouldn't stop running a million miles a minute.

She went to the bathroom to no avail. She put on socks. She paced in her sitting room. She drank some milk. She couldn't get comfortable. She laid on her back, on her side, on her stomach, on her other side, and was back on her back staring at the ceiling when she decided to take off her socks.

She threw them across the room and sighed in frustration. She hugged a pillow. Put one between her legs. She put one behind her. Took one out from under her head. She put it back and threw the one between her legs across the room too. She sat up and thumped a fist on the covers beside her in frustration.

Then there was a knock on her door, and it opened a crack.

Then it opened some more to reveal a disgruntled looking Tin Man.

"It sounds like a godammed stampede up here from my room…" he muttered and kicked off his slippers and threw his robe on a chair in the corner. He made his way around the bed to the side she wasn't using and slid under the covers.

She stared at him, confused, and he stopped shifting when he realized she was still frozen.

"Look, I don't care what your parents say in the morning anymore, so long as you stop bumping around up here and get some sleep." He raised and arm up, inviting her to him and she blinked.

Then she was snuggling into his side and breathing in that wonderful leathery, woodsy, just him smell; feeling her eyelids getting heavy already.

That's what she had been looking for when she was trying to fall asleep earlier.

He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pressed his nose into her hair breathing deeply. He sighed contentedly.

"I couldn't sleep worth a damn without you either, Sweetheart."
