Konaha was under attack and all of the village ninjas had to help fight even the ones that had only turned 16.

Sakura and Sasuke where also included in the attack from the Akasuki.

At the end of the long battle only few had survived. Sasuke had finally killed Itachi but was now lying against a Sakura tree that was splattered with blood waiting for death to take him.

A few yards away Sakura lay on her back bleeding all over. "S-S-Sasuke?" she moaned getting up and started looking for him in the mist of all the dead bodies. Spotting him against a tree she dragged her self over to him.

But her legs failed her so she had to crawl over the rest of the way.

"What are you d-doing?" Sasuke asked through a mouth full of blood.

"Didn't want you to die alone," she said collapsing on to his lap.

They stayed like that for a few minutes before Sakura said "wow this sucks," whipping the blood from Sasuke face.

"Yeah," Sasuke chuckled. "I never thought it would be like this," she said looking up at Sasuke's handsome face even though it was smeared with blood.

She looked over to see Itachi's body and spat blood at his life less face.

"Y-you did it," she said with a warm smile. Sasuke smiled a very rare smile and bent down and kissed Sakura's lips.

When he broke apart from her he looked at her sadly. "I'm sorry for all those years I pushed you away….. I guess I was just so bent with rage I couldn't really see what was in front of me till now."

Sakura smiled again and brought him down and kissed him again this time responding.

Sasuke licked the bottom of her lips and stuck his tongue in as she opened her mouth letting him in.

She tasted blood in her mouth but didn't care as she stroked the side of his face.

They broke apart from their final kissed as he began stroking her hair.

"That feels so nice," she said signing then saying "I'll wait for you ok," she said with her last breath before letting the darkness take her.

Sasuke glanced around one last time knowing this was the last thing he would ever see before he would join Sakura and the many others that fought along side them.

"Sakura's right…… dying does suck," that was the last thing he said before clutching onto Sakura's hand and letting the darkness take him along to.
