I, I who have nothing
I, I who have no one
Adore you, and want you so
I'm just a no one,
With nothing to give you but Oh
I Love You

"Hey, Austin. Are we still on for song writing later on today?" Austin turned around in the uncomfortable food court seat, facing one of his best friends. "Yeah of course. Wouldn't miss it." He responded automatically, flashing a winning smile. "I thought you were going to help me with the set for your next video?" Dez questioned, paralleling Austin Mahone across the small table. "Oh right." Austin mentally face-palmed. It was a reflex reaction to say yes to Ally Dawson, his partner in crime.
"Sorry, Ally." He apologized sheepishly. "Do you mind if I help Dez? It's still work related, and it's not like Dez could do it on his own, and-" He stopped short, realizing he was rambling. Of course he felt like a shmuck. He had promised her that his schedule was always free for practice, and now he was mucking it up. It seemed to Austin like forever since he had gotten quality Dez time, usually seeing him with Ally and Trish. Hanging with all of them together was fun, definitely, but he couldn't help but miss hanging with his favorite ginger.
"Oh. Actually, I think it's okay to cancel practice today. We can always have this week's practice tomorrow. Anyways, I had to turn down a date with Dallas so we could practice. So now I can go!" Her smile was a mile wide, and the blush that crept across her face was something seldom seen. And it still gave Austin a weird feeling. It made him squirm with discomfort when he saw Ally with Dallas, or even when she said his name with such…Mushy-gushiness.
It made no sense. He had thought he would be happy for her. She had found someone as socially awkward as herself, and Ally was happy with him. In fact, Austin himself was the one to get them together.
"Cool." Was all Austin could manage before he had to turn around to hide the half-grimace that threatened to take over.
Ally couldn't give the out-of-character behavior a second thought. She was too excited about her now upcoming date. "Thanks Austin. See ya Dez!" Her legs couldn't take her away fast enough.
