The first time outside countries encountered her was in 1814. England thought she was just a civilian caught in the flames, but the way America fretted over her made him think otherwise. She died in his arms so England forgot about her.
That is until the second time they saw her.
The second time was during a world meeting. America was panicking about how he forgot his lunch. A blur and a Mickey D's bag appeared on the table. They wouldn't have seen her if America hadn't crushed her from behind in a hug. She glowered and slipped away.
The third time was just the same, except it was America's briefcase and she managed to not get hugged and bad.
The fourth time England and France were fighting. England crumpled a piece of paper and chucked it at France. He seemed to realize it was important and tried to get it back but France kept it just out of reach. It disappeared from France's hand and reappeared in in England's. The girl holding England's hand out and the paper balled up in it. She patted the ball, cooed like a pigeon and disappeared.*
The fifth time was complete luck. America was going on about some stupid burger powered robot when Japan saw her. She was in one of the larger air vents. She was on her stomach, resting her head in her hands. Her eyes sparkled with amusement at America. She jumped a bit when she realized Japan was looking at her. She scrambled backwards and disappeared.
And then there was the one time they heard her speak. It was September 9, 2001. America was giving one of his dumb speeches when it happened; a loud whizzing sound and a bang. A plane had crashed into the towers down the street. America collapsed on the ground and a scream was heard. The girl launched out of the vent and landed next to him.
"DADDY!"
She grabbed him by the shoulders, a panicked look in her eyes. The second plane crashed and she screamed again.
"NO!"
The nations tried to get closer but she yelled at them. "Stay away!"
She tightened her hold on America before a flash, burst of smoke, and they were gone.
I do not own Hetalia.
