Atop the lonely castle walls, beats a heart that's broken
Love un-requited, a soul that yearns for it's chosen mate
As tears pooled in his emerald-green eyes, silvery waters in the moonlight
Unseen and not heard, a silence of loneliness extends
Time passes then emerald fire meets silvery ebony eyes
An un-planned and un-intentioned connection, a duel fought and won
Time passes and unseen and unfelt, a red string connects them but alas,
Dark eyes too naïve to see, too afraid by the fire to see the passion underneath
From hand to hand and heart to heart, bonds of tentative friendship are forged
As the Dark One opens his heart for all to share and hold
Peace descends throughout the land, but alack! What of the one that yearns?
Too afraid to share what was in his heart, as jealously holds his heart
Battle rages, a heart taken and a soul dies, emerald eyes close to the world
A battle won, a soul revive, in exchange for the Dark One's own
Love calls to love, and the war is won, but alas a price for that is paid
A gate opens and dark eyes are seen no more
Time flows again like a river, a heart of fire eternally yearns for it's half
A portal opens and eyes of ebony meets emeralds for the second time
A smile and bodies colliding in welcome and love
And voice whispering Saranghamida my heart.
