They said that all is fair in love and war, but Kakashi never expected her to do something like

this.

When he'd told her that he couldn't be in a relationship right now, and that she shouldn't love him like that, he had at least thought that she would put up some sort of fight and attempt to change his mind.

It annoyed him that she hadn't tried to change his mind.

Even her parting words had made him think she would attempt something; he'd been on edge for a week after that expecting her to turn up in some ridiculous outfit bent on seducing him. Nothing of the sort had happened however, which had caused further irritation.

Now he was walking around town to see her eating dinner with someone. He couldn't tell who yet, the man's face was blocked by the window frame, but his outfit wasn't something he recognized. But when Kakashi found out who the stranger was, he was as good as dead.

It burned him that Sakura had given up on him so easily, she had told him that she wanted to have a relationship with him and here she was on a date with some stranger.

If things went well they might even kiss and there goes Kakashi's chances for a happy future.

Moving quickly so as to see the face of the stranger across from Sakura he froze.

It was Naruto, and they were at the restaurant where they ate dinner every third Wednesday of the month.

What day was it?

Wednesday?

Feeling silly about his mistake he continued down the street, analyzing his reaction to the sight of Sakura with who he thought was a man she was trying to get close to.

It was something he didn't like.

Growling to himself with frustration he realized that he had indeed fallen for his younger student, and that he would be completely ecstatic with a relationship with her. In fact he'd jump through hoops to have a relationship with her.

Which mean that tomorrow morning he'd show up at her office with some nice flowers and ask her out on a date. He'd need Pakkun's help in picking out some flowers though; he had no idea what kind she liked.

Laughing, Sakura glanced out the window at Kakashi's retreating back as he walked home. Turning towards Naruto she gave him a thumbs up.

"So we got his attention then?" Naruto asked, pulling at the collar of his new and rather uncomfortable feeling suit.

"Yep, Mission Make Kakashi Jealous is definitely a success. Dinner's on me" she said happily, feeling a bit smug.
