Ok, so after 3 year of uni I will be graduating on Saturday (eek!) After being off for nearly a month I found myself pondering a new idea for a FF series of stories. Stories from the Doctor Who, Silent Witness, Harry Potter, Sherlock and NCIS fandoms written to Disney or Pixar songs.

DON'T HIT THAT BACK BUTTON! You will find no actual lyrics of the songs here. Just my imagination running rampant while I listen to them.

I hope you like them, but please be gentle; it's been a while… Enjoy!

Disclaimer: Don't own any of them. Sadly.

Circle of Life

Rose loved the feeling of stepping out onto new ground, on a new planet that held endless wonders. It was a feeling she knew she would never forget, or take for granted. The fear of the unknown was dwarfed by the excitement of discovery and adventure. Sure the Doctor would spout off facts and figures and history, but it was nothing compared to actually experiencing the first brush of air as the TARDIS door opened, or the blinding light of the three suns as she stepped out the door.

It irritated her sometimes that they only got to visit one place on a whole planet. From the things she had seen on her whistle-stop tours of the universe, she understood that what was accepted in one place by no meant it was the norm in another.

But in other ways she was glad that the Doctor whisked her off after another mad dash to save a civilisation (and more than likely their heads). After all, what was the point in being able to travel in space and time if you stayed in one place and never left- even if there were endless sights to see. Although she had her favourite planets bookmarked for possible return visits, she wanted to be gracious and leave something for other travellers to find.

It took her a while to discover a pattern of events; after she got over the sheer absurdity of the opportunity she'd been given. A completely random destination would be chosen, sometimes it was their choice, and other times they had no choice at all. They would have a bit of fun; run into some trouble and then more than likely save the day- it never got boring. After taking a breather on the TARDIS (which never lasted long) the cycle would begin again.

It was only more recently that she discovered a whole other cycle that disrupted everything. She'd gotten used to seeing a tall, Northern mad man with satellite ears and a broody disposition. Sometimes the aliens were easier to deal with than his sulks. But she had imagined herself travelling with that man for years, stopping in a home every now and then to catch up- but never forgetting about the adventure that lay ahead. But it's true what they say: Life is what happens when you make plans. She had just thought she'd found her place in the whole big scheme of thing- then life happened.

And it really was life- dying and being reborn; it was the definition of life in some cultures, alien or human. It had taken a while, but she readjusted to a new face, a new voice and a new personality. And in some ways this cockney sounding Doctor was just perfect, as if he had been made for her, although his manic mood swings gave her whiplash. But they continued travelling, and saving planets, and running, most of all they had fun. It wasn't the same, it would never be the same, but that was life and it was good, maybe better.

Life has a funny way of working; there was no more home to call back to, no more Jackie in this universe anyway. But Rose felt as if she had finally, truly found her place in life- at the Doctor's side. And life would never, ever come between them.

Never.
