Summary: There is always a bit of gray in people.
The first time he meets her.
She was wearing white, a white sleeveless top, and a matching knee length skirt. Simple but none of the less elegant.
His first impressions of her, was that white suited her. She was so beautiful and kind, and truthfully he may have put her too highly on a pedestal when he met her.
Mostly because of the fact, he felt less alone when he is with her. Sure he has friends, but they don't understand the horrors of being able to see the light of Etro.
Not in the ways she can.
In the few moments they talk, he felt a friendship growing quickly between them, but whatever friendship that grew between them that night quickly shattered when the war with Tenebrae happens.
The second time he meets her.
She was wearing white, but it seems to be a minority in her current wardrobe. Instead it seems like she was wearing close to all black except for the white short sleeve cardigan over her black dress. She was a lot darker than the person he met a couple of months ago, and in a sense was almost hateful. Either because of the situation or a façade, because hating the enemy is so much easier than loving or befriending one.
She draws her weapon, and he draws his.
During the few moments they fight each other, he believes that black is much more suited for her than white.
Because black symbolizes darkness, and right now the only thing he can see her is darkness, and evil.
The third time he sees her.
She was wearing the outfit he saw her in during their second meeting, giving a child who obviously lost his home because of the war, and possibly his parents as well some food and water. His thoughts about her changed.
He can't find himself hating her, but at the same time he can't finding himself considering her as a friend either. They were still enemies, but his thoughts about the blonde haired princess and Tenebrae did change drastically.
They weren't evil, they were people trying to survive after the loss during the Cold War, but at the same time they weren't completely innocent either. They were somewhere in between, much like himself, and every person he has either met on his journey, or has traveled with. They were a shade of gray.
It was only then he realizes that black and white suited Stella greatly, because when you mix black and white together you get gray.
He walks away from the scene, but a small smile appears on his face. Shades of gray were a lot more comforting than black or white.
