A/N: I don't know anyone's age so I was just guessing. I own nothing.

It was her birthday she had made it through another hell-filled year... But for Lisa Cuddy this day was like any other only a bit more agonizing. She was now forty-five and had nothing to show for her hard work. She was the dean of medicine and mother of a beautiful daughter, true but she had no lover to keep her warm on cold nights, no boyfriend to send her a box of chocolates on romantic occasions, she was completely and utterly alone. A baby could help her through the lonely nights but Rachel would never be able to give her the comfort that Cuddy pined for with all of her womanly needs.

Walking into her office she hung up her coat and walked over to her desk. Just an ordinary day. There was a knock at her door. "Come in." She said not looking up from her paperwork

"Lisa Cuddy?" she looked at the man carrying in a vase of white roses and blue daisies.

"Yes. But there must be some mistake who would…"

"Hey I just deliver them." He shrugged "Have a good day Ms. Cuddy" and he left. Cuddy stared in awe at the assortment of flowers. The flowers were beautiful beyond words and they smelled absolutely marvelous. She was so overwhelmed by the mere presence of the flowers that it wasn't until later that day she noticed the card tucked deep within the bouquet.

These roses are white and these daisies are blue.
Each day I get up, just to see you.
Happy Birthday.

The card was left blank after that. No signature. And the handwriting had no uniqueness to it. She had a hunch at who it was, but she needed a consult first.

"Wilson." Cuddy said as she sat down across from the oncologist

"Cuddy." He said suspiciously, he could tell something was up "What brings you here today?"

"Did you and House do anything yesterday?"

"Why?"

"You did, and avoiding the question proves it. So spill."

"We went to have a few drinks and then we ran into Chase and Cameron who we talked to for a while. Why do you care?"

"You know why." She said and promptly left a smirk dancing on her face.

"Good morning." House walked into the diagnostics room greeted by light laughter "What's so funny that Foreman is smiling?" he looked around and realized everyone was smiling "Oh man did I miss Thirteen stripping?"

"You should go check your office." Thirteen said

House limped into his office and found a white rose and a blue daisy tied with a red ribbon and a tiny card attached.

This rose isn't red but this daisy is blue.
And now thanks to Wilson I know it was you.
Thank you for the flowers.
Love, Lisa
