The one thing Beca loved about Aubrey was how into nature she was. When they went on walks through the park, Aubrey would pick little flowers and braid them into a crown and put it on Beca's head.
On this particular walk, Aubrey had made a crown out of those little purple and blue flowers with a white one in the middle.
Beca pouted when she put on her head instead if Beca's.
Aubrey looked at her and smiled before pulling it off an placing it gently on the younger girls head and placing a small kiss on her nose.
Beca scrunched her face in response before asking
"Who taught you to make these things anyway? I mean, it looks so easy but no matter how hard I try I can never figure it out"
Aubrey laughed lightly before intertwining their hands as they walked.
"We'll you know I grew up in the south. I was a country girl. My mother and I would always go into the garden and pick a bunch of flowers to decorate the house. The flowers we didn't use, we used to make those" Aubrey stated pointing to object in question on Beca's head.
"So your mom taught you?" Beca questioned
"Yeah she did. We would sit at the dining room table in the middle of the afternoon just weaving and braiding all those little flowers and we would put them on each other and give the others to my sister and other relatives"
"Can you teach me?" Beca asked, puppy dog look in place
Aubrey laughed and nodded her head
"I think I can do that"

Back at home, the girls picked flowers from the garden (Aubrey had insisted when they moved they HAD to have a garden).
They sat in the middle of the living room together and laid the flowers in the middle of them
Aubrey picked up a flower with a long stem to start with.
"It's easier when the stem is really long" Aubrey began to explain "It makes the braiding part a lot less difficult"
Beca nodded and picked up a long stem wildflower and watched as Aubrey took another flower and braided the stems together.
"You have to start with the shorter stem and use the long one to help with braiding"
Beca was confused. This whole process seemed to be rather difficult. She still tried anyway.
When her stems were sufficiently braided together, Aubrey showed her how to place the flowers in the braid
"Take a short stemmed flower and wiggle it into the braid and weave it in and out keep it in place" Aubrey explained while she was showing Beca.
This part was fairly easier to do. Especially with Beca's small, nimble fingers.
When she finished, she held it up to show Aubrey
"How'd I do?"
"For a beginner, I'd say pretty damn well" Aubrey chuckled.
Beca smiled and leaned forward to place it on Aubrey's head before kissing her soundly on the lips.
Aubrey smiled into the kiss before taking Beca's crown off and started running away with it.
Beca chased her into the garden and they ran around their backyard for a few more minutes before Beca caught Aubrey.
She picked Aubrey up bridal style before walking towards the porch and plopping onto the swing.
"May I have my crown back, please?" Beca laughed
"It'll cost you" Aubrey teased as she leaned up to kiss Beca
Beca took the crown and placed it back on her head before adjusting their position to be more comfortable.
AN: I know this was REALLY short but I really like it. I wrote it at like 3 A.M. earlier this morning and I kinda fell in love with it! So I hope you enjoyed it! Reviews are very much appreciated :)
