What's Left of Marcus
Purpledolpin05: This is an Alternate Universe one-shot about our favorite Android Marcus. If you are reading this, I suggest you might as well listen to Nick Lachey's 'What's Left of Me' while reading this. I got this idea while I was listening to that song when it came to me. This is my first one-shot about Marcus, so I hope you'll like it.
Pairings: Mostly Marlie [Marcus x Julie] one sided Browen/Brebastian, Chabrina, Adura [Adam x Sakura], and a surprising Caitlin x Sebastian. And a mysterious pairing by the end.
I do not own Lab Rats 2012, Johan or Julie. I only own my OC, Sakura.
[Marcus' P.O.V.]
It was the first day at Mission Creek High School for me. Unlike most kids, my first attempt goal wasn't making friends, finishing academics, nor falling in love with other girls. You see, I am a Bionic Android. And my creator/father, Douglas sent me to the high school was to track down his enemies: Adam, Bree and Chase.
I sat outside the Principals' Office, he noticed another girl beside him. She looked pretty cute and is an obvious Muslim. She had tanned skin, her raven black hair tied into a ponytail, dark chocolate brown eyes focused on a book she was reading.
"Hi, you're the new kid right?" I asked daringly.
"Uh-huh! I'm Juliana Hamzah, but everyone calls me Julie." Julie stopped reading and greeting smiling.
"I'm Marcus." I smiled, feeling my face a little red. "Your eyes are pretty."
"Oh…thanks." Julie tugged a loose hair behind her ear. "So, what's on your new timetable?"
"I have Biology, Math, History and…Gym. you?" I checked.
"I have Language Arts, Geometry, History and Chemistry." Julie checked. "I guess I'll see you on History."
"Bye!" we waved as we parted ways. Julie's her name huh? She's quite pretty if you ask me…
Me, Adam, Bree, Chase, and Julie were now at the new opened Fro-yo shop. I hoped that Leo nor his friend, Sakura would follow me there since he set the GPS coordinates to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. Only the two of them were very suspicious about him, claiming that he is evil [Oh he is, but he's making sure his façade stays real.]
For one, the two of them were protective over Adam, Bree and Chase. And second, Julie is Sakura's best friend since kids and she is very protective of Julie.
"Hey has anyone seen Leo or Sakura?" Bree wondered.
"Now that you've mentioned it, yes, I haven't seen her since an hour ago." Chase wondered too.
"Maybe we should head back. I mean, when Kura gets angry, she could be anywhere!" Adam added.
"We should find him." Chase said as they nodded.
"Hey guys I'm back…hey where did everyone else go? I just got the froyo!" Julie asked as she came out holding 2 cups of frozen yogurt.
"Oh, they're probably off somewhere." I lied.
"Oh man…" Julie sighed, "I was going to give this to Sakura, oh well…do you wanna have a bite?"
"Sure!" I smiled.
"Look, I know why Sakura hates you." Julie began.
"You…you do?" Marcus gulped. Praying hard that she wasn't able to guess about his façade.
"It's obvious! My older brther, Johan, had entrusted Sakura to look after me again. And she's very protective about me, especially when I am with guys." Julie shrugged. "I hope you don't take her seriously."
"Me? Of course not!" I lied. Yeah right! She tried to kill my guitar when we first met…
"Hey, would you like to take a picture with the Froyo mascot-man? I mean, it is a once in a long time opportunity." I asked as I dragged Julie to snap some pictures.
"Okay, 1, 2, 3! Say cheese!" Caitlin helped to snap the pictures. "OMG, you two would look so cute!"
"I'm gonna cherish this picture. It is our first picture together." Julie smiled holding the pictures.
"Me too." I blushed. It's weird, I'm just a robot. Robots don't fall in love, can they?
I was in my capsule, regenerating. I, I mean WE [Dad and I] had finally caught Adam, Bree and Chase. Along with my dear uncle Donald.
But I lost to them when Leo, Sakura, Johan and Julie saved the rest.
The ceiling fell on top of me as my vision blurred.
My robotic arm reached up as it paused.
"He's alive. We have to go save him!" Julie shouted.
"We?" The rest asked.
"Just help me save him! PLEASE!" Julie pleaded.
After a while, a ray of light fell on top of my face. I woke up.
I thought when I woke up, Julie would be the first thing I see.
"Peekaboo Robot-man!" Sakura grinned as she pounced on me.
"Ow! Kura! Stop that!" I whined.
"Why did you guys save me?" I asked as the rest brought me back to the Davenport mansion.
"Because, you're our Bionic brother too." Bree corrected.
"Yeah, but what should we do now?" Chase asked. "Destroy him?"
"No, we can't just do that. We should turn him into a soda can!" Adam joked. Oh hell no.
"Enough, in life, there is always good and evil." Johan retorted.
"I can see some good in you, okay you are pretty much robotic, but leave no Androids behind." Leo added.
"So, you're a robot and a bad guy?" Julie asked.
"Um…yes." I nodded.
"I kinda already knew you were evil, from the car incident." Julie nodded. "But that's what's changed. Douglas left you, and now you have us. A new family."
"We can teach you how to be good, your powers could save others too." Sakura nodded.
I felt…touched. All I ever done to the was lie, being dishonest, tried to kill Leo and Sakura. But look at them now? They are giving me a second chance. And Julie has faith in me, and I can't let her down again.
Dreamland
"Okay, I am done updating his software updates." Donald stopped updating.
"Since he is an android, they'll rust out and die eventually." Douglas retorted. "He won't even live longer than 16!"
"The virus is slowly affecting him. I knew it would happen." Douglas sighed.
"When I first created Marcus, I knew that he won't live past 16 years old. but after you saved him a year ago. That's when it happened. The leak in his bionic arm made him vulnerable to getting computer virus. I thought since he might be a useless junk, I could install a virus that would kill him after he's 16. But that kid there, managed to live. But what he doesn't know is that he only has 3 months left to live before…his time's up." Douglas said as his eyes went watery. "But what I didn't know is that I can get attached to him. I raised him like my own, and I forgotten that I once wanted him gone."
Despite them talking loud and thought I was asleep, I was listening to every word he was saying. Was it true? Did he really mean that?
I can't live longer than 16 years old? But I like being alive, I'm scared of dying. The thought of never seeing this world again terrifies me.
I woke up, in cold sweat. It's been a year past my deadline. It is a week before my 17th birthday. Maybe I could be away from my 'expiry date'.
Ugh. I felt my system getting weaker. My super speed is getting slower, I was no longer as strong as I used to be, and my molecular kinesis is malfunctioning.
Douglas was right, despite of me still living every day, I am getting weaker and weaker every day.
"Hey Marcus!" Julie waved at me as we were at the cinema. Sneaking out from Johan, since he doesn't know that it was our 2 year anniversary since the first day we met.
"What movies shall we watch?" she asked.
"How about…Big Hero Six? It would have been nice, if only Kura and Adam hadn't given us most of the spoiler." I rolled my eyes as she giggled.
After the movies, we went home.
"That was so epic!" Julie squealed as I smiled at her.
"I know," I laughed.
"That was the best date ever, and my first too." Julie blushed.
I blushed too before I greeted her goodnight with a small kiss on the lips.
We heard the door open as we broke apart. Sakura, Johan and Mr. Snowflower were right in front of us, looking very furious.
…And we got an earful from Sakura, Johan and Sakura's dad.
"Marcus, may I have a word with you?" Sakura asked. Julie had went home. Leaving me, Johan, Sakura, Leo, Adam, Bree and Chase.
"Sure." I nodded as I took a seat.
SLAP!
"You annoying robotic jerk." Sakura yelled as she fell on her knees.
"What did you do that for?!" I yelled.
"You know your condition better than I do!" she yelled.
"What are you saying? Davenport and Douglas said I still have 3 months." I corrected.
"3 months? Or 3 days?" Johan asked coldly. "You know yourself better than I could."
"You know that you're lying to Julie. Acting like you're still okay." Sakura muttered. "STOP THE FAÇADE OKAY?!"
"You're dying soon," Leo said looking a bit sad.
"I care a lot about Julie. And seeing her hurt makes me sad the most." Sakura said as tears flowed down the cheeks.
"Kura, we all knew it would happen sooner or later." Bree sighed as Adam hugged her.
"How…how could I tell her? Julie would be so sad. And I don't know what our lives would be like without you." Sakura cried.
"Throughout the past few months, all of us have grown attached to you." Chase nodded.
"All we can do is to make your next few days enjoyable." Bree sighed.
I remained silent. But I nodded after this.
"I'm going to my room now, bye guys." I smiled as I left.
I reached for my video camera and switched it on.
The next day…
"Mornin' Marcus, I made you some hazelnut pancakes!" Douglas went inside Marcus' room but stopped.
"GUYS! GUYS! GET UP HERE QUICK!" Douglas shouted as the rest ran inside.
"What's wrong? Marcus is just sleeping." Adam yawned.
"No, it's…" Douglas hesitated. "He's dead!"
"WHAT?!" Everyone was shocked.
"No…it can't be, tell me it's a lie!" Julie fell on her knees and cried.
"Today we are gathered here today for the devastating funereal of Marcus Mateas Davenport." Donald began his speech on the Bionic Academy.
"I found this one over here." Sakura found a video recorder. "Might as well play this on his funeral."
"Hi guys, it's me, Marcus. I'm very sorry I left too soon. So I figured I might as well give you my last gifts before I…*gulps* 'expire' forever." Marcus smiled at the camera waving.
"Dad, I know that you had wanted me gone at first but eventually you started to get along with me. I downloaded all my memories from my brain into this pendrive." Marcus said as a tear fell down from his cheeks.
"Daddy, can we go buy some things from the mall later?" 3 year old Marcus asked as his father held his hand.
"Okay, Marky, you decide what we should buy." Douglas smiled at the little boy.
"Eggs, milk, some bread, ooh! Ooh! Can we buy some chocolate chips too?" Marcus listed as he looked up to his dad with puppy eyes.
"Sure thing, kiddo." Douglas laughed as he gave his son a piggy back ride.

"No! you should work harder on your laser vision! Again!" Douglas yelled at his currently 8 year old son.
"But dad, I'm trying the best I can…" Marcus whimpered.
"No, if you are that weak, I might as well abandon you and leave for Las Vegas!" Douglas yelled as he left the room, leaving the 8 year old swallowing his tears and kept on practicing.
"Dad, I wanted to give you these chocolate chip cookies because it's your birthday today. But all you did was yelled at me for not being a good son." Marcus sat on a chair by the kitchen as Douglas returned.
"Sorry I was too harsh on you kiddo. How about we go make some birthday pizza too huh?" Douglas apologized as he hugged his son.
Douglas watched the video as he wiped away some tears.
"Mr. Davenport, Tasha, Mr. and Mrs. Snowflower, I admit that I had done some awful things in the past, but that was when I was misguided. The all of you helped me to become a better android as I am today. Thank you." Marcus bowed politely.
"Adam, you've always been the not-so-sharpest crayon in the box. But you're caring and funny, also, you should stop being too scared of showing how you feel towards people you love. So, I hope you can be the florist you wanted to be. Bree, you've a great sisterly figure to me. You had inspired me to be brave and fight for what I wanted in life. Chase, even though you're bossy all the time but you're always doing for what's right for people you care for." Marcus' voice spoke as the screen showed some pictures of Marcus with the Davenport family member.
"Leo Dooley, Johan Hamzah and Sakura Snowflower. I know that I had been very mean to you, not Johan though. Johan, you were always very protective of Julie and I had promised you that I won't hurt her to make her upset, but I can't fulfil my promise… Leo and Kura, you two were the first few people to know about me and hated me. After you guys had rescued me, you were the few people that showed me that I had a second choice. I never thought that I would actually turn out to be great friends with you all. I will miss you guys." Marcus said as he was about to cry.
"Eddy, you were one of the non-human emocon I can talk with. You were a good friend when it comes to blackmailing. Thanks for the fun times, buddy." Marcus laughed lightly. "And not one robotic friend who never responds like dad's old vacuum robot."
"I'll miss you too, Marcus!" Eddy whined.
"Sebastian, just because you're my friend, and that you are having a thing for my sister, make sure you will never hurt her okay?" Marcus faked a smile while Sebastian nodded wiping away some tears.
"Bob, Spin. You two are the most crazy and awesome bionic little rascals. Just promise me that you won't kep messing around when I'm gone, okay kids?" Marcus smiled slightly.
Bob was already crying while Spin refused to cry.
"And Julie, I want you to know that I think you're very special, and beautiful. You always give me faith and…*sniffled* if I were a human, we could be together. We could get married and have 4 kids: Nick, Riley, Marceline and Julian…I…I'm sorry we can't be together. *Cries* I love you Julie I really do…" Marcus began to cry.
"I love you too Marcus." Julie said as tears streamed from her face.
"I'm so scared of dying…I've never felt so terrified in my life. The thought of never seeing this world…scares me. I'm so sorry I can't live that long. Good bye guys, I will never forget you all…" Marcus' video ended as he clutched his heart and the screen went black.
Marcus Mateas Davenport

Some years later… [2017]
"Hey guys. Sorry I'm late." Julie apologized as she arrived at the set of the grand premier of a Lab Rats 2012 movie, an actual life biography of the Bionics.
"It's okay. Glad you can make it." Sakura smiled.
"Sure hope these are actual accurate portrays and not that stupid parody we saw 2 years back." Sakura frowned as Johan laughed.
"Don't worry, the cast are actually the ones we know, except Marcus though..." Johan laughed too.
"So, how's it going with you and Adam?" Julie teased as Sakura flushed red.
"We just started dating, and no thanks for your questions about my love life." Sakura blushed red.
"AD!" Sakura tackled-hugged her current boyfriend.
"Hey guys." Owen came down with Bree. Since Owen went to Italy and just returned back, he and Bree got back together. Sebastian never got together with Bree, and was stuck with Caitlin.
"Hi Chase!" "Sabrina!" Chase hugged his fiancée Sabrina Fuss/soon-to-been Mrs. Davenport.
"Hey, you should check out who's acting Marcus. He looks just like him!" Leo shouted as he and his newly-wedded wife, Janelle popped outside.
The rest scrammed in to see. The boy looked around 18, what Marcus would have looked if he were alive.
"Hi, I'm Mateas Ward. You guys must be the legendary Bionic heroes right, cool!" the lookalike smiled.
"Marcus! It's you!" Julie gasped before hugging the actor and letting go awkwardly.
"Yeah, I played Marcus Davenport. And why did you call me that name?" Mateas asked.
"You look just like him if he were still here." Julie replied. "Sorry about that, I'm Julie."
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that." Mateas shrugged. "I'm Mateas, sorry I already introduced myself."
"Can you sing?" Julie asked.
"Yeah, I'm a rapper." Mateas nodded. "You?"
"I can sing better than rapping." Julie shrugged.
"Cool, wanna get some drinks?" Mateas asked as the two left chatting.
"Wow, looking them like that reminds me of Marcus and Julie." Adam commented as the rest nodded.
[Julie's P.O.V.]
You know, some people say that love is so strong it can transcend through time. And I never really understood until now… Thank you Marcus, for everything...May Allah bless you a better afterlife.
