Percy was walking out of Olympus, satisfied when he received Athena's blessing to marry Annabeth, the love of his life. He was on his way to camp, all the while thinking of how he'd propose. Do I just go up to her and ask her? Or should I do a grand announcement at the dining pavilion? As Percy was pondering about how he would ask such a thing, he took out the small velvet box from his pocket. He studied the ring in it. It was a basic silver band, with a little green emerald and engraving on the inside saying "As Long As We're Together. ~ Seaweedbrain. " He was so excited, he practically ran the rest of the way to camp. He started looking for Annabeth when he caught sight of two figures on the beach. He almost kept walking, but he stopped short when he heard the two people talk. "You know, I really love you Annabeth." "I love you too Sam." The scene slowly broke Percy's heart as he watched Annabeth and the son of Hermes walking hand-in-hand down the shore. Anger rose in the son of Poseidon as the once calm waters, began rising threateningly high, and soaking the demigods. They quickly turned around to see the raging young man, the cause of the waves, and the most frightened look appeared on their faces. "Percy! I thought you were gone on a trip, I didn't know you'd be back. It's not what it looks like!" "Save it Annabeth. I thought you loved me… And I was on a trip. A trip to get Athena's blessing. For you." Sam decided it was a good idea to but in the conversation "Hey dude, I can't help she knows I'm better than you." Percy ignored his comment and his rage sub-sided a bit to sadness. He said monotone "I guess you were right Annabeth. Poseidon and Athena children don't mix well." And with that said, the young hero took out the velvet box, and threw it in the sand at the traitor's feet. Percy took off towards his cabin and packed his bags. He needed to get away from here. Away from her.

Percy was running through the woods trying to go somewhere. Anywhere. All he knew is that he wanted to run. Run as far as he possibly could. He stopped for a moment to catch his breath. The next thing he knew, he was up on Olympus, in front of all the gods. He bowed respectively. "Rise, boy." Zeus boomed. And Percy did as told. "You have created destruction upon Camp Half-Blood and we need an answer as to why. Now." Percy was stunned for a moment. He didn't cause any bad damage…as far as he knew. "Um…what exactly are you talking about?" "You created a small hurricane and earthquake in a place that is invulnerable to natural disasters." (A/N in the lightning thief, percy claimed that there was a storm in the area, but the storm clouds passed around camp boundaries) Percy was amazed to say the least. He didn't notice it at all. "I'm sorry, lord. I was not aware of my actions. I was far too built up in rage of my recent betrayal." Athena spoke up "I was just informed that you broke my daughter's heart. The nerve of you, sea spawn! And, to think, I gave you my blessing of marriage!" Aphrodite was sitting in her throne looking on with sadness as she knew entirely that what Athena just said was wrong. "Lady Athena, your daughter was cheating on me with the son of Hermes, Sam. So she broke my heart before I could even show her the ring." "Is this true?" Athena asked. "Yes, I'm afraid it is." Replied Aphrodite. After that, Athena sat quietly in her thrown. Zeus cleared his throat. "Never mind that. We have more important matters to discuss. What should we do with this demigod-" Zeus was cut off as a dark essence appeared in a spot at the middle of the throne room. A man, with midnight black clothing on, stepped out of the black hole. His eyes were mesmerizing. They were as black as black can get, with bright flecks of white if you looked at them at just the right angle. "What you should do with him is, bless him. He is the greatest hero of this time and you will not punish him. My orders." "Who are you and how dare you come here and demand such a thing?" Zeus shouted. "I am Chaos. Perhaps you've heard of me?" Everyone was amazed as he had never just visited Olympus like this. "As I was saying. This hero deserves much more than any of you can offer. Perseus Jackson, I give you a one-time offer. Will you join my army of immortal warriors? I hand-picked them from the mortal world and you, by far, show to be the most promising hero I have seen." Percy, was stunned by this offer. He thought about it. What do I have to lose? "I will gladly accept Lord Chaos." Chaos smiled at this and ordered the Olympians to bless the hero. They each gave him a gift. From Zeus- the same abilities any of his children would be born with. And permission to enter his realm. Hades- easy access into the underworld, and shadow-travel. Poseidon- enhancement of Percy's demigod powers. Hephaestus- a full set of lightweight, yet extremely protective black and red armor. As well as a supply of throwing knives that will always come back, like his sword. Dionysus- the ability to produce any food or drink with the snap of a finger. Hermes & Apollo- the ability of healing and in-human speed. Artemis- the keen vision of a predator and extraordinary accuracy. Hestia- create fire at will. Athena- battle strategy and quicker thinking. Aphrodite- apparently making my armor look "totally rad" was a blessing… After the Olympians were done, Chaos spoke. "You will now come with me to my hidden palace and I will bless you and see if you're the one." Percy was confused by this, but none the less, agreed with Chaos's plan. They both stepped through the portal and Percy almost blacked out from the pressure. They arrived in a heavily guarded fortress with thousands of soldiers of Chaos's army. "I will be taking you to my throne room to bless you myself. And Percy, I have seen great things in you, and I would like to make you my heir to the throne, shall I ever fade." All Percy could do was nod. This was really overwhelming with all the sudden respect and gifts. As they were walking to the throne room, people stopped what they were doing and whispered and pointed at Percy. "Why are they whispering about me?" "They have heard of your adventures and admire you." "Oh." Someone whispered, "Do you think he's the one?" Now Percy had to ask "What did you mean by 'if I'm the one'?" Chaos replied "Long ago, there was a rumor that a great hero will rise. This certain hero will wield black fire, and have incredible power that will exceed even the power of the Olympians. No one knows when this rumor will become true, of who this person is, but he is destined to save all." They arrived at Chaos's throne and as Chaos sat, Percy knelt at the foot of the throne. "Please don't kneel to me, I'm not particularly fond of respect being shown that way." Chaos blew a horn and immediately everyone's eyes turned on him. "Warriors, we welcome a new brother to our army. Perseus Jackson"- ""uh, just Percy" Percy said in a small tone, which received a few snickers from the crowd. "Alright, Percy. I have decided to make him my heir to the throne and personal assistant. Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, I bless you fully with my techniques and powers." Percy was surrounded in a black aura and started screaming in agony. People who weren't looking definitely were now as a pair of midnight black wings sprouted from his back. Percy soon stopped screaming and was mesmerized by his new wings. People started giving Percy odd looks and when he noticed he said "What?" Chaos looked at him warily before saying "Percy, with your Hestia blessing, could you create a small fire in your hand for a moment?" And Percy did so. Many gasps were heard as soon as the flame was made. There, in his palm, was a black flame that could only mean one thing. "All hail, Percy Jackson, wielder of the black fire, and greatest hero our world will see."
