alright. this follows the tenth chapter in my AFF story Ichigo Kurosaki, Substitute Girl Reaper after Muramasa's defeat. if you haven't read that, don't read this until you do.

"Alright, Momo, we're off to play with Ichigo," Rangiku said as she, Momo and their Zanpakutō spirits stood outside the Senkaimon.

"I don't want you moving in on my darling while we're gone either, Tobiume," Haineko said.

"I know," Tobiume said. "I promise."

As soon as the two sexier women left, Tobiume brought her hand out of her sleeve, showing Momo she had her fingers crossed.

"I promise to not listen to that cat. Like I'm keeping myself away from that dragon."

"Tobiume, it's not nice to lie," Momo scolded her Zanpakutō.

"I didn't lie. I promised her, I just didn't tell her what I was promising."

"Fine. Let's head over to Lil Shiro's office."

"Right."

The two girls went off to the pint-sized, white-haired captain's office, finding him doing paperwork again with Hyōrinmaru standing next to him. This constantly irritated her, but she was gonna make sure she dragged him away from it.

"Hi, Toshiro!" Momo said with her brightest smile.

"It's Captain Hitsugaya, bed-wetter!" the short boy said, wanting her to address him by his title.

"Well, it's going to be 'Toshiro' or 'Lil Shiro', because the Head Captain assigned everyone time off."

"I am aware of that, but-."

"But nothing! You are going to take time off, and you are going to enjoy it."

"Even if I wanted to, Rangiku has left all her paperwork out, and it has to be finished."

"Pwease, Tōshiwō," Momo said in a babyish voice with puppy-dog eyes and quivering lips, knowing that would break him.

Toshiro knew this too, and looked away so he wouldn't crack.

'I won't look, I won't look,' he chanted mentally, but he looked, and her face melted him.

"Fine. If it'll get you to stop making that face, I'll take some time off."

"Great! Meet us at Squad Five's barracks tomorrow morning, and bring your suitcase, because we're going out of the Seretei for a relaxing weekend."

"And since our masters are going, we should go too," Tobiume told the ice dragon. "Is that alright with you, Hyōrinmaru?"

"It's quite fine with me," Hyōrinmaru said. "A change of scenery might be nice."

'And my master might finally let out his feelings for Tobiume's master,' he mentally added.

"Great! See you both tomorrow!"

Momo and Tobiume left, and Tōshirō grabbed handfuls of his hair.

"I cannot believe I looked even though I knew she was doing that," Tōshirō said to the dragon man.

"Well, who knows?" the man standing next to the boy said. "This may be your chance to finally get out of the friend zone and into the romance zone."

"How do you even know those terms?"

"I heard Sodenoshirayuki talking about it regarding Rukia Kuchiki and Ichigo Kurosaki."

"Well, maybe you're right. I guess I could use a rest from paperwork."

"Now there's something I'd never thought I'd hear Tōshirō Hitsugaya say."

"Don't get used to it."

The captain went back to finish the paperwork he could before ten o'clock to get to bed for tomorrow.
