Title: *Unshulige
Kinder*
Author: Kaio
His slender pale fingers slipped
between the shades. One good eye hesitantly watching he small kids playing out
behind the home of Schwarz. A small braided blond girl, and an equally young blond
haired boy sat eating Cheetos on the top of the grassy hill. At first
Farfarello watched the two innocently until a dog came from the adjacent
building. As the kids fed the dog a couple of Cheetos, Farfarello felt
something that could only be described like guilt. He felt that by watching the children laugh and shout at
each other that he was tainting their innocence.
Then Farfarello let his hand fall
from the blinds as his body was shut down from the intensity of the memory that
flashed past the back of his closed eye. Seeing the young children and almost
mirroring it; seeing his own childhood, before he felt the need to make God
suffer, before he took his own eye. Everything flashed so quickly, but he
remembered it all. Distorted by time and neglect, they still hurt him.
Something he realized he'd probably never escape, the pain of his past. The
Irishman opened his eye, and the bright sky, and two innocents where gone,
replaced by his own un-escapable memory.
"You will haunt me
forever, won't you? Every time I see Kinder," Farfarello said, unintentionally
using German that he picked up from Schuldig. "you will always remind me, won't
you? I hate this cycle. I hate this world, and I hate God for making me
suffer." He reached into his coat pulling out some sharp object that he always
had. "Auf Wiedersehen, Kinder. Sie sind zu unshuldig."
That
day, two more innocents died because one could not live their own past. Two
stained red-heads lay on trampled grass, as a madman sits next to them licking
the blood of the innocent off his hands. In the distance a mothers cry is
heard.

Kinder. Sie sind zu unshuldig= Good bye, children. You are too innocent.
