Basically, at school I was told that I had to write something about a global issue I am passionate about. For me that is illnesses as there are so many cures out there, but somehow everyday people die from the most curable diseases and infections. So, as I love writing fan fiction I thought, lets write Harry Potter Fanfiction! Hope you enjoy this little one-shot and I also hope you spread my message about the poor distribution of medicines.

Disclaimer: Unfortunately I do not own Harry Potter because if I did no one would be dead except for Death Eaters. Apart from Snape. Obviously .

-Severus Snape was screwed. He knew that any second now Bellatrix would burst through the doors and say the words which will end his life. Only seconds later after that thought the doors blew open and Bellatrix marched through, with a deadly look on her face.

"You traitor" Yelled Bellatrix and she pointed her wand at Snape's throat. "How dare you betray us"

"Bellatrix, explain yourself" commanded Voldemort.

"That traitor saved Harry Potter's life, just as I cornered that stupid boy, that bloody traitor struck me from behind knocking me out."

Silence struck the room. Everyone kept on looking between Bellatrix, Snape and Voldemort, wondering what Voldemort would do. The eerie silence continued until Voldemort looked Snape dead in the eye. He slowly raised his wand until it was in the firing line of Severus Snape. Voldemort yelled the Cruciatus Curse at the top of his voice, causing a massive burst of magic to leave his wand smashing its self into Snape, causing him to crumble to the floor.

"Finish him" Said Voldemort with a certain tone of danger in his voice.

Snape knew he had to get out of there. The death eaters drew out their wands, and just as Bellatrix was about to yell a spell he just got enough energy to apparate. Where? Who knows, just anywhere. Anywhere but there.

Snape opened is eyes to pitch dark blackness, only just being able to see the outline of figures standing above his lying body.

"Mum, he's awake" said a young voice

He tried to sit up, but his body refused to let him sit up.

"Don't try to get up, it will only make things worse." Said a kind voice over him.

"Sadie, stop staring get a lamp" Said the kind voice.

A light then appeared and Snape found out that voice was owned by an elderly woman perhaps in her 80's.

"Have, Have you got. . ." Attempted Snape"

"The cure?" Laughed the woman "If only. Unfortunately we don't have any type of medication, let alone the potion."

"But. . . why?" Said Snape with all the energy he could muster

"We come from a lone colony, we don't mix with your type of wizards and witches" She said "And so we don't get the medication. We need it, but we don't get it."

Snape looked around at the once dark village, to see several huts but hardly any people. Then he looked over to the young girl, presumably Sadie and asked "Your parents. . . are they. . ."

"No" Said Sadie with a sad far off look in her eyes. "They died along time ago."

After that no one talked. Sadie just looked off into the distance where the sun was just about to rise, the elderly lady just sat by him waiting for fate to take it's course. A feeling of dread ran through the weakening veins of Severus Snape, as the world around him started to fade away. The last thought was not of Lily or Hogwarts, but of the village he spent his last moments in. The lost village, the village which could have been saved.
