Whew, thought Captain Douglas Jay Falcon. That was too close for comfort. Falcon wore a red racing helmet with a golden falcon adorning the forehead. A black visor hid his eyes. clad in blue flight armor and golden boots, he was a former F-Zero Racer, now a member of the Starfox team. He did a victory somersault, and as he came to a stop, the simulation he was in faded away, and he was back in the main docking bay of the Great Fox. The control screen read, "SIMULATION CLEAR". He jumped out of his new fighter ship, the Blue Falcon II. Slippy Toad, the resident Mechanic of the Lylat System, had salvaged the remains of Captain Falcon's racing Machine, the Blue Falcon, and rebuilt it into an Arwing-like machine after Falcon had joined Team Starfox.
"Well, done, Falcon." Fox McCloud clapped slowly, smiling. Fox had been monitoring Falcon's progress from the simulation observatory, off to the side from the docking bay. He was an orange-furred fox with pointed ears. He wore a green flight suit and a red scarf under a white flying jacket. "You passed the simulation." Falcon slightly smiled. He was becoming quite the star pilot, adapting to it even faster than he had adapted to racing. "Great going, buddy!" A grinning Falco Lombardi gave Falcon a high-five somewhat reluctantly, as he tended to be a bit of a grump. Falco wore an outfit similar to Fox's, except his flight suit was red and his scarf was yellow.
"Our new pilot has gotten quite good skills" Fox's wife and fellow teammate, Krystal McCloud, said to Fox, walking over to him from her fighter ship, the Cloud Runner. Krystal was a blue haired female vixen with shoulder length hair held in place by a silver tiara. she wore a pink kevlar bodysuit and white boots. She spoke with a slight British accent.
The docking bay doors flew open and a female feline with dark violet fur walked in. She wore an Orange and red uniform. Tied around her head was a red bandana, with a tuft of white hair sticking out. Her eyes were slightly squinted. A disappointed look adorned her face as she began to speak in a slight southern accent. "Starting without me? Boys, I'm crushed…". This was Katt Monroe Lombardi, Falco's wife and the base monitor for the team, who worked aboard the mothership, sending supplies, messages, and reports.
An alarm suddenly went off as The Ship's robot pilot, ROB 64, appeared on the monitor. "Incoming message from General Peppy" he beeped. Fox ran down to the bridge, skidding to a halt in front of the holonet transmitter, only to get knocked over by Falco, who couldn't stop himself in time, and Krystal, Falcon, and Katt were also unable to stop themselves and created a small pile-up.
After everybody got up, Fox pressed the answer key on the transmitter and the face of General Peppy Hare showed up as a hologram.
